Peaceful Cottage was a great home base from which to enjoy and explore St. John. The Island is a rather expensive place to stay and Trevor's cottage was very affordable and in a centralized location on the more populated side of the Island. Trevor gave us good advice about where to purchase groceries on St. Thomas before coming over on the ferry to St. John. We made use of the kitchen eating all our breakfasts and dinners at the cottage. The kitchen on the porch was such a fun place to cook and dine. We packed sandwiches for our day outings and only ate out twice for lunch during the five days we were there. Trevor runs an activities center so he knows about all the Island excursions. He directed us to a day trip to the British Virgin Islands where we climbed around on the boulders of the Baths at Virgin Gorda, had lunch at Cooper Island and snorkeled around the Indian Cays after lunch. Make sure you bring your passports! Trevor was available whenever we had questions or needed advice. He knows where all the good snorkeling spots are. He had dinner with us one night and we really enjoyed his company. His dog Jackie was great. Sleeping was very peaceful if you like the background noise of the tree frogs and the occasionally nighttime rain shower. I would definitely stay again at the Peaceful Cottage! I will start off with saying that this was by far the BEST TRIP EVER!!! Staying at Trevor's PC1 cottage was spectacular. You can't rent a tent for the price Trevor is charging. Trevor's cottage has everything you could possibly need AND A JEEP!! The jeep made our trip 100 times better than It would have been without. You get the freedom to go to whatever beach you want at whatever time. We visited a different beach every day for two weeks and still have many more to see. Trevor has two Jeeps available, my favorite was the stick shift jeep, but the automatic shiny new one was fun as well. There is nothing better than cruising the island with blue skies overhead and the top down!!
The cottages are set in the most serene and peaceful area of the island. No annoying neighbors yelling, just the sounds of the jungle to comfort you at night. The jungle that the cottage is set in stays 10 degrees cooler than the rest of the island. There is nothing better than getting back to your cool and comfortable cottage after a hot day in the sun. A/c is completely unnecessary as there is a breeze that flows through the cottage throughout the day. If you need to cool down after a sunburn there are two big fans plus a ceiling fan that will do the trick. We barely used the fans. In comparison to our last stay at gallows point, we were comfortable all day, at gallows point I was hot all day due to the places proximity to the coast.
Trevor is by far the most helpful person you could have on the island. Not only does he know everyone and everything on the island, but he can set you up with any activity you can think of. From Sailing, to scuba diving , or just a recommendation on the best snorkeling spot, Just ask trevor.
We did a lot of cooking at the cottage or on the grill on the porch. Trevor told us where and when to find fresh fish, and anything else we needed. The cottage is great for a short or long stay. I can tell you 100% there is no better deal on the island. Remember one thing, every other place you have to rent a jeep for $100+ a day on top of your room costs. Stay with Trevor and I guarantee you will have the TIME OF YOUR LIFE!!! Don't bother staying anywhere else!! THANKS TREVOR, SEE YOU IN A COUPLE MONTHS!!!

This place is a hidden gem in St John. I would describe our stay at PC2 being in a cabin in the middle of the rain forest because that is what it is. Trevors cottages are as peaceful as they come. It is not for the people that want the deluxe suite at the marriot but for the adventurous and for the people looking to "get away". Trevor makes it very easy to "get away" but thanks to his rental jeeps it is very easy to see as much of the island as you want. We saw every side of the island and a couple of our favorites twice. I would describe staying in the cottage as in between a rustic cabin and a nice hotel room with out the maid service. The cabin is screened in open air with a very nice breeze at night. Bring off because this is a rain forest and there are mosqitoes among other bugs. We were only at the cottage in the morning and at night as there is much to explore on the island. We used Trevors Standard jeep and if you know how to drive a standard this is the way to see the island as it is slow, steep and curvy. By using a standard we went through only $45 in gas in a place where gas runs almost $5 a gallon. PC2 itself has a very nice covered patio with all of your kitchen needs, the inside is a comfortable king bed, small living area and hand constructed/tiled bathroom that is really nice for a cabin. Water conservation is a must on this island as there is no fresh water source besides rain water which is caught in large containers and used for showers, sink and toilet, use these sparingly as it would suck to not be able to shower off at the end of the night. I would reccomend this place to anyone looking for a great vacation at an unbelievable price. I dont believe that Trevors cottages will be a secret for long so we plan to make another trip here as soon as possible to do all the activities that we were unable to do this trip.
