Make sure to take a family day to visit Roanoke Island and while you are there stop at the NC Aquarium, Roanoke Island Festival park or even enjoy at evening watching The Lost Colony Outdoor Drama. When you're done retire back to Crystal Star to enjoy and evening sitting on the dune deck watching the waves roll in. This also makes the perfect spot to watch the kids building a sand castle.
