The 'pied-a-terre' (French for a 'flat') is located above the owner's Spanish Colonial house with a separate entrance off the street. The apartment is furnished with all the comforts of home.

Upon entering, one is greeted with a cheerful infusion of colors, visually separating the living spaces of an open floor plan. Its many windows and French doors provide breeziness throughout. Collectibles from different countries lend an air of worldliness with a touch of whimsy.

A hallway leading to the cozy bedroom offers privacy from other guests sleeping in the living room. For the light sleeper, there's a soothing 'white noise' machine to camouflage neighborhood sounds.

The well-equipped kitchenette with its granite counter top is ideal for preparing a quick meal or mixing a cocktail. Instead of cooking, check out the nearby eateries of various cuisines and budgets. Or, on a warm sunny day, enjoy a BBQ in the patio below.

A GREAT PLACE & GREAT LOCATION!!!

My wife, my little one & I stayed here for a week. Place looked exactly like it is in the picture's. Great Location, and Colleen recommended Pied a Terre' because of our 7 year old daughter. She loved the park ... went there every day across the street for an hour, My nephew worked at Yogurtland on 2nd St, it was a 1 min walk away! =) We were down for my Nephew's Graduation ... parking was fine, put us central to All my family out there, and convenient to 2nd Street shops, the beach either way you walked! We loved it ... and at night just left the windows open ... sometimes cracked one of the French doors ... Nice Breeze! Perfect Place for Us & We plan on coming back soon!

Al & Colleen came by the day we checked in ... and showed us around the patio area, bbq, etc ... Very Nice Couple & even brought up extra sheets for the pullout. Truly Gracious Host & We will definately be coming back! Thanks for making our Vacation a Blast!

I would Highly recommend this place for people even just wanting to walk everywhere! Shops, Groceries, Beaches, Legends Bar, tons of places to eat at are very close!

GREAT BELMONT SHORE LOCATION

This was my third spring in Belmont Shore for work, first at the Pied A Terre. The location can't be beat. Walking distances: just a minute or two from the start of the 2nd Street strip, maybe three blocks / 10 minutes from the beach, and the brew pub (Belmont Brewing Company / BBC) is less than 15 minutes away. I was expecting parking to be a nuisance, based on previous Long Beach experiences, but I was completely wrong. Never had a problem, even when I got home after midnight.

My work generally keeps me very busy, so a comfy bed and an adequate kitchen are pretty much my only requirements. Check+ on the bed, SUPER comfy. The kitchen passes, it's not a chef's kitchen, but it's well stocked, and good enough for most things. One day, when I had a rare free hour in the afternoon, I went out to the back patio to read and it was exceptionally pleasant.

Colleen and Al are charming hosts. I highly recommend staying with them at the Pied A Terre and wouldn't hesitate to go back myself.

GREAT APARTMENT, GREAT LOCATION!

Pied a Terre was the perfect home away from home for our family of three. Al and Colleen were there to greet us when we arrived. The apartment was exactly as pictured, tastefully decorated and provided all the comforts of home. Colleen and Al were wonderful and readily available even in the middle of the night when we misplaced our key. Street parking was readily available. We most enjoyed going for a early morning walk to 2nd St and grabbing coffee and pastries and walking back to the playground for our toddler to burn some energy before we started our day. I highly recommend!

A LOVELY STAY

This is truly a delightful place to stay in Long Beach. It was scrupulously clean, beautifully well arranged, and has all the equipment and amenities necessary to make you comfortable. (The bed is excellent!) The owners couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. You are in easy walking distance of the 2nd St. district of shops, restaurants, and bars--very handy--and only a few blocks from the beach. We never had any trouble with parking, which can be an issue in Long Beach. We have visited our son in Long Beach several times over the past few years, and this is much the nicest place we have stayed. We highly recommend it.

FAMILY ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT HERE!

I loved the house and location. It's very clean, well decorated, and very comfy and peaceful. I felt very much at home there and would definitely stay here again. Colleen & Al are very gracious and accommodating. Also.. some good restaurants are short driving distance. Overall a great place to stay, i highly recommend.

"Pied-a-Terre" was a delight! Beautifully decorated and wonderful colors. It bursts of good times, which we did have. We walked nightly up and down 2nd and enjoyed people watching. The car? You don't need a car when staying in this cute apartment! The perfect location. One day it rained, we went to the Aquarium, after that sunshine. Kites at Seal Beach, Laguna, oh and the restaurants, yum. Our hosts were very attentive and kind, we felt welcomed. The apartment was immaculant, towels, soaps, coffee, you name it. Being an ex-Belmont Shore person (35-years-ago) this was a real treat. I travel out to LB 3 or 4 times a year to visit friends and family and I will check for availabilty everytime for my future visits. I'd like to consider this my little home away from home. I've told several people about the property.
