Very nice rental for young families

Our family enjoyed staying at this condo during the first week of May. It was very clean and nicely updated. The kitchen was well stocked and had everything we needed to cook meals there. The unit was clean when we arrived and was well stocked with clean linens and extra pillows and blankets, towels, cleaning supplies. The place looked like it had been well maintained and cared for. It was a pleasure doing business with the owner, she answered all my questions and even went through and did some babyproofing at the condo for us prior to our arrival since she knew we had a 3 year old and a 16 month old. We did alot of sightseeing around the White Mountains area in the mornings(Franconia, Flume Gorge, Mtn View resort, Mt Washington, Conway, Kancagamus Hwy, Littleton, etc.) and in the afternoons, while the kids were napping, we would read in the sunroom or watch tv in the living room (there was a tv in every room!). We made most of our meals at the condo but did enjoy a breakfast at Grandma's kitchen next door and Polly's Pancake Parlour in Sugar Hill (highly recommend this place, the food was great and the view is spectacular). The kids liked running around the large grassy area behind the cottages, one night we had a campfire and roasted marshmallows. The kids also liked playing in the sand/dirt at the beach area and dip their feet in the water (we were lucky to have very warm weather that week). We also enjoyed seeing the loons on the lake and once, we saw a beaver swimming across the lake carrying branches. I would recommend this place for a young family or couple who want a nice homebase while visiting other areas of White Mountains and do not mind doing some driving (eg. closest big chain grocery store was a 10-15 min. drive away). The only thing we regretted was not coming here during the summer because many attractions like Mt Washington auto road, the trams, Santa's Village and Storyland were still closed. But the goal of our vacation was to just relax and enjoy being together in a beautiful natural surrounding and also scout the area for skiing this winter (we are new to New England) and this condo allowed us to accomplish all of that at a very good value.
