This condominium has been owned by our family which has been enjoying the magic of Sapphire for over fifty years. It was largely renovated and offered for rental for the first time in late 2007. The condo is located just minutes from Red Hook where you can find groceries, restaurants, shopping and access to the ferries which can whisk you away to St. John or the British Virgin Islands.

The condo is only one hundred and fifty steps from the front door to the beach. While on the beach you can see St John and the British Virgin Islands. Because the unit is on the lower level, when you arrive you park at the rear of the unit and bring your luggage and groceries into the unit by walking about thirty-five feet from your car and up just four steps, rather than lugging them around to the front of the building and up a flight of stairs

The unit retains the original floor plan, except that the original front porch has been enclosed and now expands the already large living/dining room, and a large fenestration has been cut between the kitchen and living/dining area.

The unit contains its own front-loading washer and matching dryer. For drying wet towels and such, there is a solar powered 'clothesline' just outside the rear door. There are two televisions, and 'basic digital cable' (a total of approximately twenty channels) is included. Local phone service and Wi-Fi internet access are included.

In late 2007, the unit was 'stripped', repainted, partially redecorated, and many improvements made. The following were replaced with brand new units: refrigerator, oven, gas stove, air-conditioner compressor, bedroom and living room ceiling fans, bedroom mattress, front and rear doors,shower fixtures, and almost all kitchen utensils and small appliances.

Refinished furniture was obtained to replace most of the original living room furniture, and the frame of the Murphy bed was repainted. The original 'Futon' has been reupholstered. There is a 52 inch TV in front and and a 19 i inch TV in the bedroom two DVD players (one Blu-Ray), and and two stereo systems.

The locks have been removed from all closet doors, except for one-half of one closet.. We do our best to keep 'starter supplies' of non-perishable essentials in the unit, so you won't have to begin your stay buying things like coffee filters and dish detergent.

To ensure continued enjoyment by all occupants, smoking and pets are not permitted.

Please note that rental is higher than shown below during 'prime times' such as, Easter, President's Week, Thanksgiving, 'Spring Break' and so on.

SHORT STAYS: Condominium regulations require that rentals be for a minimum of a three nights,

LONG STAYS: Except for 'prime times' stays over ten days will be discounted on an individual basis.

Everything that previous reviewers of this condo said were true. The place is not a brand new resort, but you aren't paying for that either. The owners of this condo obviously go out of their way and take time out of their "real" lives to make sure that every thing you could possibly want is readily available in their "paradise" by the beach. I would recommend this condo, and more importantly the owners, to anyone looking for a relaxing vacation on a fantastic beach property without having to pay an arm and a leg. Thanks again Steve & Honey for providing my father and I a relaxing experience.

Spend A Relaxing Week On The Beach

We enjoyed our stay at this condo. Everything we needed was there. It was clean and well maintained. The beach and water were great. A short walk to both. It was one of the most relaxing vacations I have been on. Red Hook is nearby. A nice little town with great restaurants and quaint shops. We caught the ferry in Red Hook and went to St. John's for a day. Visited Trunk Bay-did some snorkeling and stopped at Cinnamon Bay Beach. We ate at High Tide on St. John. The location of the condo is excellent as you are centrally located to places you will may visit on the Island. Iggies restaurant and beach bar is a must stop. Fish Tails has the best linguini and clam sauce we have ever eaten. Stop by Duffy's love shack for lunch or a drink. Great happy hour there. It is a unique parking lot bar with souvenir drink glasses. The owner of the condo provided us will information that was nice to ensure a great stay. We would definitely come back again!

Perfect Location on St Thomas

We enjoyed our stay at Steve’s unit at Crystal Cove condos on Sapphire Beach. There are only two condo complexes’ right on the beach at Sapphire, don’t let any of the other advertisements fool you. I know I spent considerable amounts of time trying to understand where all the condo complexes were because of the false advertisements and deceptive language. There is Crystal Cove and Sapphire Beach and Marine, that’s it. Others may overlook the beach but do not have direct beach frontage.
Steve’s unit is in a wonderful location. We walked out the front door and down the walkway and were on the beach, pull up a chair, they have a large number of lounge chairs available for your use. We walked out the back door and we were at the pool. The pool has rest rooms and a shaded area for those who need to be out of the sun, plus plenty of lounge chairs and tables. I cannot imagine a more perfect place for a family vacation. The location is great if you have children or grandchildren. Steve has plenty of beach towels, snorkeling equipment (the snorkeling is some of the finest on the island) umbrellas, etc. Having a washer & dryer, 2 TV’s, games, books, DVD and free wifi just added to the enjoyment of the unit. The beach at Crystal and the beach at Sapphire Beach & Marine are not separated by any barrier or fencing. You can wander down to the other complex and take lessons at their dive shop or buy a snack or drink at the snack tent on the beach. The tent is open for breakfast and lunch. The beachfront at the Sapphire Beach & Marine was more crowded than our beach (which was empty in May) because the cruise ship passengers can use that beach, plus there appears to be public parking on their end of the beach. Crystal Cove is a gated community with no public parking. If you rent a car, there will be parking close to your back door. Don’t be put off by the age of the complex; Steve’s unit has all you need for a wonderful stay. The complex has a staff that keeps up the grounds and beach area plus Norma who cares for the unit, keeps it immaculate.
My son lives in St Thomas recommended we try and stay at Sapphire Beach. The locals consider that beach to be one of the nicest on the island and the best place to snorkel. Enjoy your vacation on St Thomas

My husband, children, and I really enjoyed staying in this condo. It truly was a bargain with a great location. The condo was the perfect size for the four of us, and was so well stocked to help us make our stay easier. The owner was always available for questions and full of great information. And Sapphire Beach is literally steps away--so clean and so beautiful. I would definitely recommend this condo.

Awesome as always vacation rental

This was our 4th stay at B-11 and it gets better and better. We love the condo and the comfy bed and always enjoy the new decor that is added each year. We have not considered staying anywhere else since we found this. Beautiful quiet beach with excellent snorkeling. First day there we always head out to the turtle cleaning station to say "hello" to the resident turtles. We have just returned from our 2 week pilgrimage and already booked our 2013 time slot. Have nothing but good things to say and the owners keep the condo beautiful and are extremely caring that you have a great stay while there.
