The House:
The property is a shingled cottage, Vineyard style, with 3 bedrooms on the main floor, including the master bedroom. Upstairs is a spacious loft area with 3 twin beds and a brand new bathroom - ideal for kids. The home is fully air conditioned and features water views from the Lagoon room, den, dining room, bedrooms and of course from the spacious deck overlooking the property and Lagoon. The kitchen has a separate butler's pantry with beverage refrigerator, ice maker, laundry facilities, beverage sink, microwave and cabinets stocked with barware and partyware. The main room, Lagoon Room, which features an expansive view of the Lagoon and the opposite town of Vineyard Haven, offers views of the Ferry arriving and departing throughout the day as well as watercraft and water activities of vacationers enjoying fun in the sun Vineyard style. In addition the Lagoon Room has a giant flatscreen TV, stereo, and games and puzzles for even more enjoyment and relaxation.
The Town:
Oak Bluffs offers all the possibilities for a complete Vineyard vacation. This is a town with a beautiful, bustling harbor surrounded by restaurants on the water, as well as lots of shopping. If you want to rent a moped or bicycle, this harbor is the place to go. If you want to see the oldest carousel in the U.S., this is the pace to be. If you want to wander the Tabernacle with it's brightly colored cottages, you've arrived! Restaurants in this town vary from relaxed and affordable to upscale and gourmet. During the summer, the town hosts all kinds of activities like fireworks, concerts, and art and antique fairs. In addition, Oak Bluffs is moments by car from Edgartown and Vineyard Haven, the two other major 'down island' towns.
