Available early June! Bring your boat and dock it at the back yard deep water dock with fish cleaning table, power outlet and running water. The kids will also enjoy fishing or dropping the crab pot off the dock, playing on the tree swing or using the basket ball hoop and lawn games.
Watch the boats come and go from the bright sun room or while lounging in one of two shady hammocks near the water. Or you can enjoy the view while riding the cottage bikes to the nearby store. Go for long walks on the beach or travel by boat to visit Cape Lookout, spot the ponies at Shackleford Banks, or enjoy the aquarium, museums, waterfront shopping and dining in Beaufort, Morehead City, Swansboro or Atlantic Beach.

Surrey Cottage is an exceptional waterfront home ideally situated off the Bogue Sound/ICW on the North Carolina Crystal Coast close to Morehead City, Beaufort, Atlantic Beach and Havelock/Cherry Point. Military families - this is a great holiday getaway for your family reuion. The house is ideal for large family reunions and well positioned to enjoy the local attractions and shops, cinema and outdoor activities. Longer stays are also available for executive/military accommodation off season.
Watch the boats come and go as you sip cocktails in the sun room, while relaxing in the hammocks near the dock or dining under a shady tree. There are two Webber grills for front or back outdoor dining. The enclosed outdoor shower is convenient for a quick cool down or to rinse off after a day on the boat or at the beach. A separate laundry/utility room with washer/dryer and iron/ironing board keeps sandy towels out of the way.

Surrey Cottage has been updated with tasteful 'international coastal' furnishings and fixtures, including hand woven Indonesian chairs, plush leather couches, oriental rugs and quality bedding.
All bedrooms have queen beds and are comfortably furnished with all necessities, including radio alarm clocks/IPod docking station and hair dryers. The luxurious master bath includes jetted tub and shower. A leather sleeper sofa in the living room sleeps two (queen size) and the sectional leather sofa in the family room converts to a second queen sleeper. There are a total of four TV/DVD/VCR combos and a pull-out computer center provides internet access with color printer and all necessary supplies. Wi-Fi is also included and there is a HiFi/CD player in the living room. A portable radio/CD player is available for outdoor use.
This elegant 'home away from home' is unique in that the lawn leads to a private dock on a sheltered canal. Fish off the dock, or there is plenty of room on the front lawn to play volley ball, croquet or just lounge in the hammock. A basket ball hoop and swing are also included. Kayaks are available by arrangement to explore the waterways, and the quiet water view roads are ideal for walks or cycling on the cottage bikes. Nearby Beaufort also has miles of bike trails and boat rentals and boat tours are also available An extensive book, DVD, CD and board game collection is available to our guests in addition to volley ball and croquet.
The cottage is designed with two separate self contained 'suites', making it suitable for two families or for use as one home. All rooms have water views; one suite includes a large bedroom, bathroom, seperate outdoor access (via small porch/lania) and family room with breakfast bar/'kitchenette'. The second, larger suite includes kitchen, living/dining area, two bedrooms, sunroom and bathroom with shower and jetted tub, and can be seperated by the interleading door, if preferred.
This is a spacious retreat suitable for entertaining, with room for everyone to spread out and many options indoors and out. It is ideally situated to enjoy the best of the Crystal Coast away from the crowds and long term rentals are available out of season.
Surrey Cottage is in a great location for fishing, the beach and many water sports - in addition to antiquing, waterfront shopping and visiting the many attractions near popular Morehead City, Atlantic Beach, historic Beaufort and Emerald Isle. There are also several golf courses in Morehead City and surrounding areas for the golfers in your group. We are fortunate to have many returning guests who enjoy the tranquility and comfort of this idyllic spot.
The cottage kayaks are available by arrangement to tour the waterways and enjoy the sound views and bird life - or to spot dolphin if you are lucky! This is also an excellent location for wind surfing and sailing and is an ideal family getaway with bikes, tree swing and basket ball hoop.
