This beach-front home at the end of Beacon Point offers panoramic views from every room of the house. Overlooking a private sandy beach on Buzzards Bay, it's a great place for swimming, boating, fishing, bicycling, jogging, relaxing on the deck or watching beautiful evening sunsets. It's away from the traffic and crowds but 20 minutes to Falmouth; close to Woods Hole for the ferry to Martha's Vineyard, or take the fast ferry to Nantucket from Hyannis. It's only an hour's drive to Boston, Newport and Providence Airport. Walk or bike the 7 mile trail along Cape Cod Canal and watch ships ply the waters just feet away. Buzzards Sailing Club offers sailing to kids, by the week, 1 mile away. Excellent waterfront restaurants are in the area as well as specialty shops, grocery stores, bike and boat rentals, and attractions for the entire family. September is a beautiful month; pretty weather, less traffic and crowds. Sleeps 6 - 1 queen, 1 double, 2 twin beds; 1 full & 1/2 bathrooms.

Enjoy morning coffee on the deck overlooking Buzzards Bay as lobstermen tend pots a few feet from the jetty and tugboats push huge ships further out, heading for Cape Cod Canal. The beach is just steps away for swimming, sunning and building sandcastles, or you can throw out a fishing pole and pull in porgy for a yummy lunch. Beacon Point is a quiet corner yet it's near excellent restaurants, great shopping, entertainment and sports of all kinds. The Bourne Sports World is 5 minutes away offering go-carts, bumper cars, an arcade, children rides and activities as well as a public 18 hole course with clubhouse and an outstanding restaurant. Buzzards Sailing Club offers sailing by the week to kids, go to BuzzardsSailing.org. Ryan Family Amusements and a Water Wizz are in Wareham. Sandwich, a charming town, is close by with the oldest house on the Cape, Dexter Grist Mill, a doll museum & more for the family. End the day lounging on the deck taking in a beautiful sunset over the water

Perfect, if you like relaxing, quiet & beautiful

Our vacation was terrific and Judith was a pleasure to work with. She was very accomodating and the little gift she left for us was very nice touch.

The views are beautiful from the deck, the neighborhood is quiet and the neighbors are friendly.There are no crowds as it's in a residential neighborhood and you have a choice of a couple of beaches up and down from the house or just hang out right in front.

The fishing is fun, I caught something every day. Bluefish, scup and a black bass right off the rocks out front. Nothing real big but if you try harder at low tide off the big rock you could have a lot of fun with the medium sized blues.

To be honest, the house could use a little updating and the kitchen, with new appliances, is crowded but above average for most rentals.

Other than that it really was relaxing. Huge yard for the kids, convenient for parking the kayaks, near trails for bike riding and the streets are quiet. I hooked up with a neigbor who took me clamming on the beach out front and had some awesome steamed and stuffed quahogs.

Good times and great memories.
