One of the best vacations of my life!

This is a unique home in a beautiful setting. Light, airy, very clean, beautifully decorated with sumptious beds. Surrounded by woods with a beautiful view of the lake. Sit on the deck, have some tea (or a cocktail) and feel your shoulders relax. Conni is a wonderful, helpful person and the photos here do not do this place justice. I was absolutely thrilled with the house.
Very close to all things we love about the North Shore. Split Rock Lighthouse and Gooseberry Falls are just minutes south. The wonderful small town of Beaver Bay is only 2 miles away. I suggest the Northern Lights cafe and the flea market in Beaver Bay. Betty's Pies (south) and Tom's Logging Camp (also south) are great places to visit as well.
There is a stereo with wonderful selection of music, as well as many movies, books and games which give you something to do inside, if you can tear youself away from the great outdoors. Two firepits for bonfires and s'mores await.
This is also a very private place. Snuggled back a bit from the road in a thick birch and pine forest to make it feel very secluded. Perfect for a retreat or a romantic get away.
There is nothing disappointing about this place. From the people who own it and graciously share it, to the setting, to the beautiful country that is Lake Superior's North Shore, it is all simply wonderful. The only bad thing? You eventually have to leave. We will be back. A+++++++++++++++++
