The condo is also a very short walk to Trax for easy access to the U of U, and the rest of the Salt Lake Valley. If skiing or snowboarding are your thing, you will be within 35 minutes of Park City/Deer Valley, and 5 other world class ski resorts.
This stunning Urban-Chic loft has just gone through a 12 month makeover by one of SLC's most sought after designers. Everything from the custom local artwork, to the exotic fabrics and wall-coverings, to the 52' 1080p LCD TV with Blu Ray player have been carefully thought out, making this a fantastic destination while vacationing in fabulous Salt Lake City.

Gary and Alli Thornton both grew up in Orem, Utah. While Alli attended BYU, Gary graduated with a business degree from the U of U. Alli has been a professional dancer/choreographer for years, and currently owns a nationally recognized dance studio in Orem, UT called The Dance Club. Gary is the boring one. He owns and insurance agency, and also works for an HR/Payroll company. The couple have 2 kids, and currently live in Highland, UT.

As a young married couple attending the University of Utah, we fell in love with downtown Salt Lake City, and always talked about being able to buy a little 'Urban Cabin' one day in the center of SLC. In 2008, we were fortunate enough to find this beautiful little condo, and have absolutely loved it. Whenever we are looking for a little escape from Suburbia, it's nice to be able to head to the 'Big City' for a couple of days. We love being within walking distance to all of the arts, restaurants, and entertainment in SLC.
Our building sits in what is called the Warehouse District of SLC. The building is over 100 years old, and is the original home of an old toy manufacturer. The building was converted to condos in the 1990's but retained much of the original architecture. The exposed brick and beams make it one of the most unique condo buildings in SLC. We literally searched every condo project in SLC before we settled on this building. It's so unique. We just love it. You can't beat the location either. We are literally walking distance to everything in downtown SLC.
Absolutely flawless. Unit is immaculate, spacious and has character. Definatley worth it. Couldn't have one negative thing to possibly say, owner was extremely nice and was quick to reply with text messages and phone calls. Will definitely back back and not interested in looking at any other VRBO units, for the price, this is one of the best properties I've ever stayed in world wide.
I wanted to update my prior review; I can't say enough about the personal attention and service I received in support of my stay! When I accidentally left a suit and other clothes in the condo, the owners could not have been more accommodating in shipping my things to me, providing a tracking number, and providing assurances that my stuff would be well taken care of. Truly full service support!
Really enjoyed stay. Very convenient to Salt Palace. Only issue: it needs a full-size ironing board for business travelers.
I was in town for a conference at Temple Square and the convention center. This condo was only a couple of blocks away, easily walkable to both areas. I am extremely picky about lodging accommodations, and this place was perfect. Clean, trendy, spacious, with a beautiful view! I loved the German bakery across the street for breakfast in the mornings. The owner was wonderful to work with, he even let me check out late because of my evening flight. I will definitely be back to this condo next time I am in Salt Lake. One of my favorite vrbo properties ever!
Stayed here for 3 nights at short notice and very happy with the condo. The location is great with easy access to public transport, freeways and also walking distance to many central SLC sights. It's an open plan studio setup but very spacious. Bed, bathroom and kitchen were all excellent. The owner Gary was very helpful in setting up a booking at very short notice. Would certainly stay here again.
We truly enjoyed our stay in SLC. The studio was very clean, cozy, and close to everything. We skied at 5 different ski areas and all were an easy drive away. We really enjoyed everything about our stay! We would stay here again without hesitation! We also really enjoyed our gated off street private parking- it was very convenient.
