A light-filled gem set amid the evergreens and aspens at 10,000 feet, our ski in/ski out home combines cool, contemporary design with a cozy, Alpine-retreat feeling.

Designed by architect David Webber, the house was created to be a no-fuss family home for the enjoyment of the great outdoors.

The house sits on over an acre of green space perched high above the dramatic Moreno Valley, and offers breathtaking views from walls of windows and multiple outdoor living spaces. Four bold fireplace designs by a French artist invite lounging indoors, while a soaring balcony upstairs encourages stargazing.

Our floors are wood and concrete, art hangs on the walls, and are furnishings are simple, yet beautiful. Children of all ages love our unique bunk niches hidden by sliding barn doors, and our bedrooms and baths are tastefully appointed and comfortable.

An art room is available upstairs, and a gourmet kitchen with adjacent dining spaces occupies the heart of the home.

Fantastic Mountain Stay

Our family just returned from vacationing at the Chastenet Home in Angel Fire, NM. We really enjoyed the cooler weather and getting out of the Texas heat. The house had beautiful views of Wheeler Peak and the Moreno Valley. Our kids thoroughly enjoyed being outside on the mountain and a lot of hiking and exploring suited them just fine. We definitely will be back - maybe during ski season since the house sits right next to the ski slope.

Rick, the property manager, was informative about the house and even escorted the kids on a hike up the mountain which included all kinds of interesting sites.

Recommended for: Adventure Seekers, Sightseeing
