This property is located near the historic downtown Prescott Valley. In the Tri-city area, Prescott Valley is where the action is - year round.
It is within walking distance to a coffee house, restaurants, post office, banks, groceries and convenience stores. It is also within a mile of the Entertainment District, Tim's Toyota Center, Yavapai Regional Medical Center - East Campus, Mountain Valley Regional Rehabilitation Hospital and an extended care facility. The living room has a large screen TV with DVD. The sofa folds out to make a queen-size bed. The north side of the house has 2 bedrooms with double beds in each. The master bedroom has a queen bed and a bath with shower. The common bath has a tub and shower. The fourth bedroom has 2 twin/single beds and can be accessed through the master bedroom or by a private entrance leading to the outside.
The back yard is enclosed by a six-foot hedge giving privacy and contains a horseshoe court plus a large pergola covered with grape vines with a swing and benches inside. The rear patio has a table and four chairs plus a gas barbeque grill. There is ample off-street parking in front.
When I bought this house I redecorated it to make it more comfortable for me and my family. I've kept the original house as a guest house, and decided to offer it up for short-term rental. It's been like having a bed & breakfast inn where I get to meet visitors.....but I don't cook.

Actually, I have lived in the Prescott/Prescott Valley area for twenty-six years. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else.
This community is very family friendly and offers numerous activities such as hiking, fishing, biking, boating, hunting, museums, art galleries, horse racing, movies, live entertainment at Tim's Toyota Center, and much more.

This is an excellent rental property. Very clean and well equipt with everything one might need for a comfortable short or long term stay. The location is convenient for shopping and a variety of restaurants. Also a short drive to the historic towns of Prescott, Jerome and Cottonwood as well as outdoor activities in the nearby mountain parks.

Use to live in PV, came back for friends son HS graduation . VRBO was perfect much better than hotel rooms. Enjoyed sitting in the back yard every morning . Its a great place close to grocery stores, restuarants, and shopping.
A great place to stay and feel like you are home.It was plenty roomy and very clean. I would highly recommend Grandpa's Place over a hotel or motel. We even had a nice welcoming letter and a treat when we arrived.
This place was perfect for our visit, just 10 minutes from our family and plenty of room for all to hang out. Well maintained and furnished with all we needed for our stay. Fenced yard with a fire pit that was a bonus for a couple chilly nights. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting to visit the area!
We just finished spending a week at Grandpa's place and it was very relaxing and a great way to spend a week at a very reasonable price. There were two couples in our party and that caused a little concern since one bedroom is off of another bedroom, It would work great for families with smaller kids that want to keep them close by. As it was, one couple had to sleep in two different rooms which was fine for them, but perhaps not for couples that enjoy one another's company. I'd ask for a room layout drawing to be sure it is what you expect. Otherwise, the place was great. We used the internet hookup to order pizza, reserve tickets to the Grand Canyon, and get mapping directions to sights in the area. It's close enough that one can drive to Laughlin for some gambling if the local casinos don't meet your needs. It's close to all kinds of services, groceries, gas, places to eat and easy to get to being about four blocks off the highway. We grilled out a couple of nights -that was real fun. Had some fine wine to help make the evening card game go well and didn't have to worry about distrubing the neighbors if we laughed too loud. Plenty of space to hang you clothes, and dressers to store things in. Every thing we needed for cooking and eating was provided. All in all, we had a great time and will likely try to book it again if we come back to Prescott Valley.
We really appreciated staying at "Grandpa's Place". It worked perfectly for our family group since there were plenty of beds and space. Everything was spotless and ready for us when we got there. We really enjoyed the space in the back as well in the mornings and evenings to just sit around and enjoy the beautiful weather. Wayne was excellent to work with and very helpful and made sure we had everything we needed. We would definitely stay there again in the future.
