A true beach cottage in a wonderful area!

This little house is a perfect retreat for the beach lover. It is a very, very short walk to the beach. Not just any beach, either. Windansea beach is possibly the best beach in San Diego. It is secluded, and frequented only by locals. Wonderful sand, as well as cliffs and rocks for walking and climbing. Even normally inactive people will find themselves walking the beach every morning, breathing the sea air and bonding with your family or friends over long walks.
Just at the opposite end of the block from the beach is a convenience store, a liquor store, a great little taco shop, and The Promisuous Fork, a foodie gem with creative and affordable menu items.
The area is very walking-friendly, and a short 20 minute walk away is the local grocery store, a Von's that carries USDA Prime meat, which will come in handy for the Weber grill located at the house. There is also a smaller grocer with great produce one block over. On the same block as the grocers is a little diner caller Harry's with dog-friendly outdoor seating and a great local feel, as well as great food.
The walk to the grocery stores takes you past the Bentley, Rolls Royce, Bugatti, Ferarri, and Masarati dealerships, for those that like a little window shopping while they are out of town.
Cay has taken the time to equip the house with everything you will need for your stay. Just bring clothes, toiletries, and your swimsuit, because the house has boogie boards, sand toys, beach chairs, coolers, beach towels, linens and towels, cable tv, wireless Internet, and everything else.
While you are in the area, catch a ride on a paraglider at the Torrey Pines glider port, see a showing at the Museum of Contemprary Art (a short walk away), see the sea lions at La Jolla Cove (as well as the tide pools), and visit the Mount Solidad War Memorial.
I cannot say enough good things about this house, the area, nor Cay's thoughtfulness about setting it up. We are looking forward to returning, and it won't be soon enough...
