New custom solar home on 35 wooded acres (shared with a 2nd vacation rental not within view) with breath taking views of Pikes Peak. Experience first hand “Going Green”, with all solar electricity and a backup generator for those few cloudy uncooperative days. Total seclusion yet close to shopping in Manitou Springs and Colorado Springs, with plenty of tourist oriented activities. Hike the property and additional 25 acres across the road or lounge on one of 2 decks and enjoy the solitude with plenty of visiting wildlife, including the Elk herd on the adjacent 1200 acre ranch. Bag a “14 er” and climb Pikes Peak, or hike many different nearby trails of all challenges, close by world class fly fishing, mountain biking and unsurpassed Colorado snow skiing, also try your luck gambling at the historic Cripple Creek Mining District. You're certain to have a great and unforgettable Colorado vacation for just the two of you or for the whole family.

Great holiday in Divide

My husband, son, daughter and I spent 6 days in the cabin in August. It was the highlight of our trip to America this year.

The cabin made a fantastic base from which to explore the local area. It was very clean, extremely comfortable and well equipped.

The cabin offers wonderful views of the surrounding countryside. We all enjoyed watching the wildlife, particularly the humming birds feeding from the feeder located on the porch. During our stay we also saw blue jays, deer, squirrels and two calves.

We particularly liked the “eco-friendliness” of the cabin. The solar power was able to cater for almost all of our energy needs, although the back-up generator did step in to provide additional power if required.

We would definitely recommend the cabin to anyone looking for a fantastic holiday home from which to explore the many local attractions.

Beautiful, squeaky clean, well equipped home! Lots of room and awesome views, too! The owners, Brad & Laura, have thought of everything! We loved that the home sits on lots of land and you will feel that you have it all to yourself. Every morning and evening, we saw elk grazing & bugling in the distant field. We could not have asked for a better place! Thanks, so much for letting us rent your awesome home!

A peaceful experience

My nephew and wife, and myself and wife just spent 4 glorious days at this new mountain cabin. It is a very quiet location with many historical sites within easy driving distance. We walked the meadow, hiked the land around the cabin, and did some sight seeing beyond the property. Maybe cabin is the wrong word as it is a very comfortable new home with a great equipped kitchen, good beds, and decorated exceptional.
We watched the humming birds and blue jays from the front porch and watched the herds of elk that sometime come out in the evening to graze. One evening we saw more that 100 in the meadow to the southwest.

If you are looking for a 5 star experience for a get away, I can't believe that you would be disappointed. We are looking forward to returning next year.
