Best Condo on IOP

Very nice accommodations. This was our first visit to Isle Of Palms and we our first choice, staying here, was a hit. The condo is very nicely furnished, there was plenty of room for 6 adults and the view was fabulous.

The condo is located within walking distance to a number of nice restaurants, bars and shops. A short ride in the car will get you to the heart of downtown Charleston, the airport and any number of local attractions.

You won't go wrong staying here.

Vacation Rental Review

This was our first time vacationing at IOP. Your place was excellent and very nicely decorated and laid out for a 4 bedroom condo. We had ample room for our family. We especially loved the ocean front view and having the outside porch and patio was a plus. Especially since it had its own private staircase leading directly to the pool and access to the beach. When returning from the beach, you never had to go on the elevator to get inside your condo with the outside stairs as an option. We really loved your condo. I would recommend it for vacation rentals at IOP.

Great location, nice owners, needs serious cleaning and routine maintenance

Four 50-something couples visited for the Cooper River Bridge Run as we do every year. We had high hopes from the photos and because our interaction with the owner was very pleasant. Upon arrival we were disappointed...especially for the amount of money we paid. Someone seriously dropped the ball on cleaning and upkeep. We had to do some cleaning to feel comfortable, which included laundering some bedding and towels (all very worn). Some area rugs were too dirty to use. We rolled them up. The funiture and area rugs were very soiled. Lightbulbs were missisng or not working. Outlet

cover(s) missing (a safety hazard for children). Drawer handles were missing off the only available dresser which was in Master. It would have been nice if there had been dressers in the other three bedrooms or even a decent number of hangers. Closets had misc debris in them. There were new, comfortable mattresses, but covered only by old, worn sheets and bedding (no mattress pads...soon to be soiled new mattresses). The majority of the walls looked like they had not been painted for years. That said...the choice of decor was really tasteful and pretty. The kitchen was well stocked with a nice selection of dishes and cookware. The new dining table was great. We could see where the owners made a real effort to create pretty dwelling. I am going to give them the benefit of the doubt and say the property management company is taking them for a ride whatever they are charging for cleaning and upkeep. The propety management company said someone would be calling me...I've waited over two weeks and have not heard from anyone. I have not heard back from the owner either except that they would pass our comments along to the cleaning service and property management company. They offered to send the cleaning team in while we were there, but we had already taken care of it and did not want the intrusion. It's a shame because had this place been all we had hoped for, the owners would have had regular guests who treat this unit like home. Our family and friends visit Isle of Palms often. We like the location and unit enough to check back and see if anthing has changed.

Owner's Response: Thank you very much for your feedback. We take all our guests comments and feedback very seriously. Spring cleaning has been completed since your visit. New area rugs were also purchased for the family room and dining area. We purchased all new towels throughout the unit. Walls were touched up and we repaint every two years. We hope you enjoyed the new pillow-top mattresses in every room, new dining table and chairs, new kitchen cabinets and the new granite countertops in the kitchen. The Maytag Maxima XL high speed washer / dryer was purchased in the fall. This allows us to clean all linens onsite before each new visitor. As you mentioned in your review, we wanted to send back in the cleaners to address any issues you had and clean the unit to your specifications. Again, thank you for your valuable comments. We have had years of satisfied guests and our commitment is to provide a comfortable, memorable and hassle free stay. Best Regards

We used this condo with some family and friends for our Thanksgiving holiday and never wanted to leave! The condo is beautiful, incredible porch, great view, wonderful food within walking distance, convienent to shopping and downtown charleston...can't say enough!! The owner was great to work with and can't wait to go back!!

Great condo and owners were great to deal with!

My family and I stayed in the condo in March 2011. It was fabulous and more than we expected. The location is perfect, the condo is very nicely decorated and the owner provides linens and towels that were great quality. We were making a dash to the beach and booking last minute, the owner was fair with his rate and in discounting it since the unit was still available and we were arriving the same week. This has been the one big advantage I have noticed between renting from owners and the local prop mgmt companies. The owners who are involved take way better care of their units and use common sense when booking them. FYI although this may not actually be a handicap accessible unit (Im not sure) its a great one to consider if you will be travelling with someone where this is a concern. The elevator opens up directly into the garage under the condos which is at street level making it simple to go from the condo to the street and shops in IOP, which are right across the road. There are plenty of restaurants and shops easy to maneuver to closeby. No lugging bags up and down stairs either! I had a two yr old and stroller so all of this was a big plus to me!

The balcony on this unit is an amenity all by itself. Its large and boasts relaxing furniture for beach watching or an evening outdoors with a great view and an ocean breeze!

The owner really does a great job on this unit. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes and cooking needs. Being picky and having stayed in several other units in the area and on Folly, I can't emphasize enough how nice it was to have a tastefully decorated, clean unit with top notch linens. This one had everything we needed. If I had to point out anything it would be to the cleaning service. The entire unit (if I remember correctly) has tile flooring and while lovely, I'm sure a mammoth of a job to mop regularly and completely and it was apparent from my sons tiny feet that the FLOOR wasn't being cleaned well. Only the floor. The rest was immaculant. Enjoyed our stay, would defintely stay again and I'm sure if you're lucky enough to book this unit you'll enjoy your stay as well! ;)
