Renters - Have Patience!

Overall - the photos are fairly representative of this property. However, there were several issues in which you should be aware...having rented homes for all of our vacations - from Mexico to Mammoth and everywhere in between - I would say I have probably dealt with over 50 different agencies and personal owners and this transaction was the most difficult.
As mentioned above, the agency handling this property was not easy to deal with and I found them to be fairly unprofessional. It says to contact the "owner" but it sends your info to "Mia" who co-manages this property with another agent. Between incorrect dates on the contract (I had to ask them to redo the contract), dealing with two different agents (who did not seem to know what arrangments the other was making) and then receiving the wrong codes to the lock box (which prompted more phone calls trying to get ahold of someone to give us the correct code), this was not an easy transaction. I was also "double booked" with another client and sent an e-mail (with other renter copied on it) telling us whoever sent thier CC in first would "get the property". I asked for an early check-in (via e-mail - and the response came via text message?) and I was told that it would be another couple hundred dollars - which seemed ridiculous since I was paying a lot of money for 2 days. Lastly, they overcharged my CC and I had to request a refund.
In regards to the overall condition of the house, it is amazing. There is so much room and it is so beautiful - you will never want to leave. But, there were some small details that could have been adressed. The fireplace in the Master bedroom did not work. Also, when I spoke with the agents I was told they "thought" the built-in BBQ in the backyard was complete - but they were not sure. However, I was told that at a minimum there was a standard grill there available for cooking. Well - when I stayed in November - the built-in was not complete and there was a very small, round charcoal grill. Definitely a challenge to cook for the guest capacity of the home.
Again, this house was beautiful. The living space, game area and bedrooms were very comfortable for a large group. Lastly, you will not be disappointed with the pool and spa - the views are breathtaking and it is incredible to wake up to the hot air balloons taking off outside your bedroom window.

Owner's Response: We strive to give our customers the best possible service while respecting their privacy and protecting the privacy of the property owner. It is common for property owners to use a property manager and our intention to provide our guests with a pleasant and quality vacation experience from beginning to end. The only claim I can validate is that we had a booking mix-up. However, the mistake was rectified in Heather’s favor immediately. Alas, our cleaning service schedule prevents us from allowing early check-in, especially on short notice. As stated previously, we do have other onsite guests whose privacy we must honor. The lockbox “problem” was remedied with one quick phone call. I regret that the size of the BBQ grill seemed small to her, but we have never advertised an outside BBQ so that claim is entirely false. Overall, I am pleased that Heather found our beautiful property amazing and its setting spectacular.
