Brand new Boutique Style Apartment, Quiet and Secure Location, by the best beach

This was our first time renting a condo. It was everything that we expected. The pictures really represent what you get. The condo was roomy, clean and comfortable. The appliances and TV worked well. The air-conditionning too but we hardly used it because there was always a great breeze when openning the doors. The gated condo gives you a great sense of security. The pool was always clean and we used the gym almost every morning. After exploring a good part of the south part of Barbados we can honestly say that this condo is well situated. Just far enough off the main drag not to hear the cars and buses all the time but still about two blocks from the beach and the boardwalk. The shopping mall, two blocks over, with its numerous restaurants and a small grocery store was very much appreciated. The beach is as breath taking as the pictures show. Transportation was simple , 1 US $ per person, via local buses. We visited the beautiful beaches of Crane and Silver Sands but our favorite was Carlisle Bay, close to Bridgetown, and because there the waters were more calm and it was possible to swim out to the ship wreck and snorkel with the turtles without having to pay the $70 per person that the tours charge. We found Crane and Silver Sands isolated and the water was rough but still beautiful places to visit. The going cost for a parasol and two beach chairs is $15 for the day, $20 at Crane Beach. You can walk to Bridgetown from the condo, a 30 min walk. We had lots of trouble with our mobile cell so we suggest you get a pre-paid one once you get there. The cumputer in the business center works well but is a little slow. It is just unfortunate that the complex does not give Wifi access, since the router is already installed downstairs.One morning we even saw two monkeys in the trees next to the pool!!! Finally, the owner was very accomadating and called us to make sure the everything was fine and even gave us the tip about the turtles. All in all a great value for a an up scale condo in a well positioned area. We highly recommend it to others and will probably return next year with the kids. Thank-you Agnes!

We really enjoyed our stay at the White Sands Villa. The staff was incredibly helpful, the location was perfect and the beach was beautiful. We rented a car for a couple of days to drive around the island, but otherwise it was not necessary. I highly recommend this condo and Barbados overall if you are looking for a truly genuine experience outside of a resort.

We stayed at the Brownes Apartment for 1 month in December. The apartment was in a great location, very close to the bus service, grocery stores and the beach. Brownes is a nice quiet environment. There are wild monkeys roaming around the place, we woke up many mornings to see a family of monkeys walking on the fence.
There is a restaurant called Tapas just a couple of minutes away across the street and the food was excellent.
We took the local bus to Carlisle beach which was 6-7 minutes bus ride and swam with the turtles, we just swam out to the catamaran boats and got to see the turtles for free. A must see. We went to Bottom Bay, the views are breathtaking.
I would recommend Brownes to anyone. I had a great time in BArbados and would return.
