Great location, fantastic pool, comfortable beds, inviting bathrooms

We stayed with our 3 kids (6,4,1 years old) for about 6 days here and loved it.
*Setting*
Villa Amarilla is one of about 5 units of an older "development" (not sure if ok to name it, so won't), each is about 5-15 yards from each other and very private. Every unit has a different owner. The unit has two separate areas with separate entrances, the downstairs one we did not touch at all. Note: it has a bathroom which is where the washer/dryer is. The room felt a bit humid, but i think there was a dehumidifer in it which was not turned on,; worth inquiring about if you plan on using it. Becuase we did not use it cannot comment on it further.
The 5 units share a swimming pool and a small parking area (4 spaces, always some available).
*Location*
There is a restaurant next door, for everything else we used the car.
Both Quepos and the National park are within a 5 minute drive. One could get to both places by the bus other have mentioned, but we benefited from having the car, especially because of the kids, so that we could drive to buy groceries, and go to the park and beach when we needed. Parking was off street but also off the gated part of the community. It felt totally safe and there was always space.
*Feeling*
We really liked it. The furniture is comfortable, the terrace/porch very inviting, the swimming pool is great, as you feel like you are swimming in the jungle, the bedrooms are comfortable, and the bathrooms seem new and very inviting too. With young kids napping we spent several hours in this place every day and were very happy with it.
*Minuses.*
Very few: living room felt a bit dark at night (single 100w light bulb for big area), kitchen could have used a few more supplies (like oil or teaspoons) and directions to get to Villa Amarilla could have helped (note: in Costa Rica there are no addresses for the most part, so getting places is usually trickier than in other countries)
If we go back to Manuel Antonio, we will try to rent this place again. Strongly recommended.
Not sure I would come here without a car, but other reviewers seemed to have been happy without it.
