Genteel Southern Hospitality

We enjoyed a 10-day visit to Charleston, Seabrook Island, Kiawah Island, and Savannah, using Pelican Watch as our base. The villa was clean and fully equipped with many things to do no matter what the weather. The recommended restaurants were outstanding and the area residents very hospitable, friendly, and helpful. The covered deck was appreciated because it was warm enough to sit out in the rain! We enjoyed the sunsets (as promised), dolphins, deer roaming on the dunes, shrimp boats, sail boats, beautiful golf courses, and pet friendly atmosphere at the villa. Freshfields Village was a good place to stroll and they happened to be having their fall artfair and store sales. Maxwell's Market was the perfect place to buy whatever we needed to take back to the condo to enjoy. The only thing we missed was an outdoor grill, but the wonderful restaurants made up for it! Magnolia Gardens and the Tea Plantation/Irvin Vineyards were both worth the short trip. Angel Oak is a must see and close to Seabrook Island. Lots to do here, or snuggle up with a book from the basket of books in the villa, whatever your pleasure.
