About Trish Graham

I have an investment advisory practice and a real estate advisory practice and love tennis and golf. I grew up in Dover, MA, and went to Ursuline Academy, MSU and UCLA. I take care of my Mom who is 94 and love to help out with my ten grandkids.

Trish Graham purchased this house in 1995

Why Trish Graham chose Brewster

I spent my summers in Brewster for most of my life and love the bay and the flats. We clammed, fished, dug seaworms, and rode our bikes everywhere all summer. At night we would have campfires on the beach. I loved those times and want our guests to have that type of unique experience too.

What makes this house unique

The views from this house are extraordinary. As we bring guests into the house, you can hear the exclamation in their voices when they see the view for real. The camera just does not do it justice. We recently renovated it and it looks truly beautiful in calming colors that reflect the surroundings. Kids and parents love the beach, tidepools and walkability, if there is such a word, to niche shopping, cafes and parks. Peace and privacy prevail making it a dream spot for a vacation.

Quiet Solitude

  • 5 of 5

My family of 5 from ages 21 to 90 arrived at the Brewster home greeted by the owner and everything was clean and in order. There was plenty of room to sleep 6. The home was larger than we expected with an excellent view of the bay and the atmosphere serene with the sounds of many birds in the marsh. We attended a family wedding at the Wequasett Resort closeby. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and the view as well as the lovely walk to the beach. We ate at local favorite Land Ho in Brewster as well as the Lost Dog. We went thrift store shopping and found some excellent buys. With Provincetown so closeby, we took a ride there to Race Point and ate at the Squealing Pig. Plymouth and all its history drive was only 1/2 hour away, we were able to visit with some relatives there as well as a trip to Boston 1 1/2 hrs away.

We highly recommend this home for your vacation.

Owner's Response: We strive to make the vacation experience relaxing and trouble free. From the pre arrival packet containing things to do, places to eat, age based entertainment, lists of baby sitters, all of whom we know personally, to directions and phone numbers, to your arrival with personal attention paid to a brief home tour, home made goodies, and the opportunity to ask questions, to an onsite look at the property upon vacating, we work very hard to ensure value for your choice of our vacation property. Simply Stunning and Peaceful!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I wanted a very special location and home for our anniversary, and this home was the absolute perfect match! Driving up to the property more than exceeded our expectations. The salt scent in the air, the peaceful sounds, and then this gorgeous Cape gently nestled away amidst a spectacular park-like surrounding, next to a beautiful pond, and then the breattaking views of the bay.

When we entered the home, we found it spotless, and we were greeted to a lovely plate of brownies (thank you Trish!). The home was so spacious, clean, and bright, and the upstairs views were unimaginable. (I think I gasped with delight). The home is also so tastefully appointed, and we felt right at home. Trish thought of possibly everything you could need, and then some. It was wonderful to be able to do my own laundry downstairs, and not have to cart it back home.

We spent our days exploring the lovely area, and took a lot of Trish's helpful suggestions. Like bike rental locations, and some lovely restaurants. Our last night was spent on the terrace of the Ocean Edge Resort admiring the sunset and the spectacular views there. It was all so magical!

I highly recommend renting this property; and the owner was so pleasant and helpful to work with. We would love to make a return visit in the future.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your great review. I don't think further comment is necessary. Would love to have you back. Trish

Gorgeous views, great location!

  • 5 of 5

We had a fabulous vacation at the Brewster house. The views from the deck are simply incredible. We appreciated the proximity to several very pretty beaches. And the house is lovely and fully stocked (kitchen items, beach chairs, kids toys/highchair). Also, Trish is a super nice person to rent from. We hope to come back!

Owner's Response: Thanks for the review. We do our best to ensure that our guests have what they need. The location speaks for itself, and we provide everything else. If we could control the weather, we would do that too. Trish

Fantastic - really made our holiday special!

  • 5 of 5

This house is amazing - the photos really don't do it justice!

Six of us and one 8 month old baby stayed for a week and the open plan living area was just perfect for family dinners - we even managed one barbecue - although it was in the rain. That's the Brits for you!

The house was immaculate and the décor done to a really high standard - there was a real home from home feel which meant you can relax into things straight away! Trish was super helpful, providing us with heaps of baby equipment, beach towels, beach chairs and giving tips on where to eat - particularly where to find the best lobster all ready cooked and cracked for you to have at home!

Location is perfect for the walking or cycling on the rail trail, which is a must and the view is stunning from the balcony.

The only slight niggle is that the 10 am check out means its a rush to get everything clean and tidy and then pack up - midday would have been better for us!

We would definitely recommend - the house really helped make our family reunion special.

Owner's Response: We go the extra mile to make guests comfortable and to provide a great experience. We live 5 miles from the property and respond to any issues as soon as possible. We also try to anticipate needs in advance like shopping for grocery basics for guests coming in on a late flight with children. If there is something you might need on hand or you have a special circumstance, be sure to tell us about it in advance so that we can offer some assistance. We want to provide our guests with a great experience.

Enjoying summer on Cape Cod

  • 4 of 5

We spent one week in this very nice house (4 adults, 2 small children) and enjoyed it very much. The vacation home met the description / expectations and the contact with the owner was very friendly. She provided everything we needed for the little baby including baby crip and a barrier for the stairs. We found all we needed for the first days which was especially appreciated as we were travelling from Europe and limited in baggage.

Even though the local beach road was closed due to a recent winter storm, we walked to the beach easily and enjoyed the low tide walks along the coast. Also, we drove a few time to the east coast light houses and found our prefered beach in Nauset. As the home is central on Cape Cod you can easily access a lot of places by car (usually between 5-10 mi distance).

We recommend this home for families and people who search privacies and calm.

Owner's Response: We work very hard to make sure that everything is right for our guests. These travelers immediately followed the people who gave a negative review after hearing that their security deposit was going to be charged for damages above and beyond normal wear and tear. If there are any issues with the property we will resolve them as soon as we are contacted. We appreciate reasonable and responsible guests. We provide a "house" book suggesting restaurant choices, fun things that our guests have enjoyed, directions to stores, beaches, restaurants, names and contact info for babysitters that we personally know, along with troubleshooting help for appliances, etc. We want to make it a great experience.

Nightmare on Captain Young's Way

  • 2 of 5

Our experience was a nightmare.

We booked this house in large part because of its proximity to the beach, which we anticipated accessing daily, rain or shine, to walk by foot with our children in a stroller. However, the access road to the closest beach was closed. From the standpoint of integrity and proactive communication, we felt we should have been notified and offered a solution before we arrived. The owner’s response, quoted here, was defensive and nasty: “If we had told you would you have cancelled? Read your lease agreement, you would have lost not only your payment but also your vacation week. My guess that the reason you never went to the beach is that it rained almost every day.”

The house was far from spotless. We found dirt, grime and cobwebs in disorganized kitchen drawers , bathrooms and floors. A dresser smelled strongly of urine. Lamps were broken. The guest bath, linen closet and everything in it smelled of mothballs. The owner’s response? “I take issue with the fact that you found the house dirty. I check everything before renters come in. No one, not one incoming person has EVER referred to the house as dirty. Did you read the reviews?”

There is no coffee, so bring your own. While you’re stocking up, don’t forget paper towels, trash bags and toilet paper, as you’ll be replenishing those too if you use more than a roll/bag or two of each. Per the owner: “In no way does our lease agreement suggest that we provide any items. This is not a hotel.” I also recommend spray for the cockroach (one) and silverfish (multiple) we found throughout the house. And while you’re at it, bring along sharp knives, cleaning solution for the sticky dining room chairs, and your own furniture if you plan to relax comfortably.

If you’re handy, you could take on such projects as fixing the dripping kitchen faucet and leaky upstairs toilet, or mulching/mowing, so that your vacation isn’t interrupted multiple times throughout the week by the lawn crew.

But above all else, I implore you: do not scratch the floors. They were recently redone, and the smallest scratch will cost you. We had $30 withheld from our security deposit for a scratch we’re sure there’s no way we could have made, along with a whopping $50 for a patch for the screen door due to a small hole we created when moving out (and immediately reported).

We’ve rented homes across the Cape, US and world, and have never had any issues like the ones we experienced here.

Owner's Response: As any prospective renter can see, by the 26 five star reviews we have on this property, we make every effort to make our guests feel at home in an immaculate, home with every convenience we can supply. We have a professional cleaning crew each week that cleans from stem to stern and I check it over before any guests check in to make sure that it is in a condition that I would want to stay in. We also provide linens which I personally launder each week so I know that they are clean or replace them if necessary. We also provide starter packs of coffee, tea, sugar, flour, salt pepper, spices oils, paper products etc. Each bathroom has a fresh roll on the spindle and two additional rolls in the vanity. Detergents for the dishwasher, sink and laundry are provided. All appliances are in excellent working condition. I personally check everything. If a guest tells us about a problem they have encountered, we make every effort to repair or replace, most often that day. We understand that you are there for one or two weeks and we want it to be right. We were notified by the Town of Brewster that they were closing half of the beach for repair from winter storm damage 4 days before these guests arrived. The entire beach is not closed and both beaches on either side of it are open and well within walking distance. We offer guests beach stickers at our expense and provide the paperwork required and instructions to guests upon check in. Unfortunately, we cannot control the town's schedule or the weather. Our rates are thousands of dollars lower in June than in the high season because we may have mulch being put down and the weather can be iffy in some years. The lawns have to get mown and they can't all get done on Saturday between 10 and 4. We do ask that they mow mid day when most people are out and that is once a week. In the past five years we have had to with hold money from security deposits 3 times, including this time for damage above and beyond normal wear and tear and people do get upset about it. It was also unfortunate that it rained 6 of 7 days of their vacation. We make every effort to resolve issues as they arise. We were not made aware of any of these issues until I notified them that we were withholding $80 for screen replacement and floor damage. If we had been we would have worked to rectify any issues upon notification as we have done in the past. I stand by my 26 five star reviews.
