Newly remodeled cottage conveniently located in the white cedars of lower Lake Huron. Short walk to large private sandy beach and bluff overlook offering panoramic view of Lake Huron. Loft bedroom is newly carpeted with queen and twin beds and flat screen TV/DVD player (no cable access). 1st BR has twin bed, 2nd BR has queen. Front of cottage has vaulted ceiling, nice seating area for 6 or more people to hang out, swap stories, plan the day’s activities. Great dining/entertaining area at the rear of the cottage, with round oak table and chairs. 2nd floor ceiling fans create a breeze and blow air conditioning from the second floor to the first if you wish to use the loft window mounted AC. The front porch has enough room for four or more chairs where you can sit and visit with passers-by. Or choose more privacy in the rear yard with plenty of seating at a picnic table and lawn chairs to gather at the fire pit, have a cocktail and watch your cook do their thing at the gas grill

Lower Lake Huron is very accessible from anywhere in Southeastern Michigan. The beaches are large with fine sand and the water is nearly always clear (except after the big storms!). The Lexington area is a small gem, the first port of refuge on the Great Lakes going North from Port Huron. Shopping and other local attractions make it a wonderful place to spend an afternoon or two. Port Huron is close (about 20 minutes) for shopping, or catching a big screen movie. The temperatures are 5 to 10 degrees cooler than inland, which makes this a very popular summer destination. Lexington Heights, where this cottage is located, is a great little cottage community that began back in the 1930s and has wonderful character and lots of friendly neighbors and visitors. We hope you can come and enjoy it!

  • Reservations require receipt of a check for 50% deposit to confirm. * Balance due 1 month prior to arrival * Cleaning fee of $75 * Refundable security/damage deposit of $250

    Upon receipt of your check, two copies of a standard rental contract will be sent to you, return one signed copy.

    30 days prior to check in the remaining 50% is due along with your refundable damage deposit. 2 weeks after check out the damage deposit will be returned to you assuming there is no damage.

Golf: This can be a great gathering location for a golf vacation. Lexington has a championship course in Lakeview Hills, there is a nice golf course in Port Sanilac, and a very inexpensive but very playable course inland from this location.

Relaxing for the parents…adventure for the kids!!

We love, love, love this cottage! From the happy, sunny exterior to the light and breezy interior to the cedar-lined backyard, we felt relaxed and at ease here. There are plenty of quiet spots to enjoy a cup of coffee or read a book, and enough places to gather and play card games with the kids.

Our three- and five-year olds spent much of the time either splashing in the water or digging on the sandy beach. Even our rainy afternoon was fun -- visiting the charming library in town (Lexington) and doing a little shopping.

Everything you need is here – complete kitchen, gas grill, lots of seating, comfortable beds, beautiful new bathroom – all in a very nice little neighborhood with lots of friendly people.

This is a great place to unwind, relax and have fun.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Girls Getaway, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway

Wonderful cottage

From the moment we drove up to the cottage, we knew we were going to love it. The house is furnished lovely, with comfy beds(and linens), beautiful decorations and a very well stocked kitchen (with really nice dishes). The upstairs loft is bright and large with plenty of seating space to wach tv, read or play a game. The location is great,,,,a easy walk down a tree lined street to the beach. If the weather is not great, there was tv as well as you are 15 minutes South of Port Huron or 3 Miles North of the cute town of Lexington. Thanks for sharing your house with us. We had a terrific time and will rent again!
