The Loíza Carnival celebrates the African heritage of the town of Loíza. This annual folk festival, the week of July 25, features a religious ceremony, carnival, parade, floats, costumes, masks and bomba dancers. A lively Afro-Caribbean dance, bomba is at the root of the Puerto Rico's African heritage.
