Little Camp Island on Lake Winnipesaukee is located south of Bear Island and North of the Forties. Accessed only by boat. Very private. Island contains only two other camps which are not visible. Large private dock and mooring. Camp built in 1963 and faces north toward White Mountains. Enjoy both sun rises and sets. Sun greets you each morning as it rises over the east beach and across the 'broads.' Moon comes up in the same place. Sun sets to the west while you enjoy your dinner on very large deck. Does not get any more beautiful and romantic than this vacation gem. On site toys include canoe, dingy and badminton. Bedrooms comprised of master, guest (both with double beds) and very large loft with 3 single beds and 1 double bed (five boys grew up in the house). North point beach includes a fire pit surrounded with a deck for outdoor sleeping and marshmallow cooking under the stars. Wild blue berries in August great for pancakes and muffins. Pictures are worth a thousand words.

Lake Winnepesaukee is 32 by 10 mile with 350 Islands. Little Camp is just about in the middle. Unbelievably beautiful and private remote island accessed only by your boat. The change in the pace of life a vacation needs! Generator primarily to pump water and lighting by Kerosene lamps and propane gas.

Clearest Water On Lake Winnipesaukee On : You have found the seclusion and a change in the pace of life you need for the perfect vacation! This is the prettiest place on Lake Winnipesaukee and your family will not want to leave. It is private and the water is the cleanest on the lake as Little Camp boarders the 'Broads' which keeps the water clear. There is no gross milfoil! The evening melancholy calls of the loons across the lake is a symphony like no other. However, because of its remoteness it does have its inconveniences like a generator for pumping water and for limited house use (bathroom lights, a few sockets for a hair dryer, help light path to dock...), No A/C (camp is very open to cool lake breezes and the lake temperature is refreshing) kerosene lamps (though the days long,) fire place for heat, no TV and requires a boat for access. Away From It All!

My family, and some friends just finished a wonderful week at this cottage on Little Camp island and we had a fantastic time! The property is uniquely situated on the north tip of the small island (only 2 other homes on the island) to give you nearly 270 degrees of view of the lake, with views from the east side through the broads down to Wolfeboro. The home is rustic, but comfy and well equipped. All the kids slept in the upper loft area. The owners were very helpful and easily accessible to answer questions. We snorkeled around the whole island in crystal clear water, fished, swam, tubed, water-skied, canoed and just hung out on the dock and in the water. The property has a great little campfire deck on the north point with a hammock where we roasted marshmellows and enjoyed the views. The east side beach has some great rocks that you can swim around.

The cottage provides a very cozy, camp-like environment with Karosene lamps for most lighting, but still has ameneties like a hot shower, and fully functional kitchen.

You can only get there by boat and you should take caution when approaching the dock as there are some large rocks. All in all we found it to be an excellent location on the lake for trips to Meredith, Wiers Beach, Wolfeboro, and Alton Bay.

We really enjoyed the slowed down pace of Island living and will definitely plan to come back to the "Camp at Little Camp"!
