  • The small en suite bathroom is completely tiled in polished stone and has a surprisingly large walk-in shower with sauna-like sitting platforms (very convenient for sitting while washing your legs and feet). And yes, ladies, there is a hairdryer! The solar-heated poolside shower eliminates the need to go back into the apartment to rinse the chlorine out of your hair - no wet tracks through the apartment!.

The Apt. is named for its large private terrace (c. 30 m2) - with retractable, rain-proof awning - overlooking the gardens and surrounding hills and has both lounge and dining areas making it your 'outdoor living room'. The kitchen-dining room has a lounge area at one end with a double sofa-bed and a single day bed. The master bedroom (c. 32 m2) has a double bed, wardrobe, couch, armchairs, piano and internet desk and a long private balcony running the entire length of the room. The stone-tiled bathroom has a large walk-in shower with sauna-like sitting platform. Air conditioning, fresh towels & linens twice weekly, hairdryer, widescreen TV with many channels via satellite, DVD & CD players, pellet burning-fire place, laundry facilities, pool, BBQ patio, terraced gardens, gazebo & lots of deck/lawn furniture.

Notes: The villa's private pool is for all guests, but is unfenced and unguarded, so guests with small children must provide proper parental supervision. The pool has a graduated bottom, so children can wade at the shallow end. The deep end of the pool is only 5 feet, so diving is prohibited. The apartment is self-catering, but maid service is available for a fee. Clean linens and towels are provided twice weekly at no additional charge. The private parking lot is free, but if you'd like protection from the elements, we have a garage with automatic door that rents on a first-come basis for €10/day. We also offer mountain bikes and for a reasonable fee can provide you with a bilingual (English-Italian) guide. Ken & Belinda, have run a language training center in the area for 25 years, so can arrange a course right at the villa for you, light or intensive, beginner or advanced in Italian, English, German or French. Cooking and wine-appreciation classes too!

Ken & Belinda, have been deeply involved in the Italian wine scene for more than 20 years, conducting workshops for Italian wine producers on how to best present themselves and their cellars to foreign buyers and wine tourists. over the years they've got to know some of Italy's most prestigious producers and have aquired a considerable knowledge of everything from vine pruning & training methods, to wine-making and ageing techniques, to how best to fully experience the subtle qualities of a particular wine. They have even published a bilingual glossary of wine terminology (English-Italian) with more than 20,000 entries. The Monferrato & Langhe hills of Piedmont are the cradle of some of Italy's (indeed the world's) finest of fine wines. A fantastic villa

This villa is more than what you see in the web! The villa is designed beautifully it is romantic and grate for a family .We found a fridge full with wine cheese…..
The owners get out of there way to give an advice and to make you fill at home at the villa and at Italy (restaurant advise including translation of the menu. site seeing advice)
The pool is fantastic. We would recommend it to all our friends
Owner's Response: It's always rewarding when your efforts are appreciated, but the friendly nature of these guests (including both of their great kids, Giddy & Maya) made it so easy! We hope to see them again someday in the not too distant future, either here in Italy or in Israel. We never knew that renting out apartments in the villa would be so rewarding and enjoyable. great, wonderful holiday: great, wonderful hosts!

We stayed at Ken and Belinda's for almost ten days, not even ten days ago (ah.... seems so far away already!) and loved each and every day there... just adored it, and very much looking forward to getting back there very soon.
Ken and Belinda are just the best hosts imaginable, making you feel as if their home is more your home than theirs -- which in fact, it almost is... and being wonderfully helpful, while not at all intrusive. not in the least, in fact.
We took both apartments they offer -- as we stayed there with my parents -- hence, our family of four (boys of 7 and 9) in the ground floor (portico) apt., with my parents' at the first floor (terrazzo apt.) and because the connection between the two apts is so easy and flexible (there are two connecting stairways, one inside, the other, outside) it was just perfect for us, allowing us just the kind of easy, joint holiday we were hoping for.
Plus, our boys adored the pool (the water was too freezing for us, adults to use. but the boys couldn't be held back...) and, although not naturally dog/animal enthusiasts, fell entirely in love with both dogs on premises.
In sum: can't recommend more warmly -- only, single reservation being... we'd really want to come back and are not the kind of people who book their holidays a year (or two!) in advance, so please leave some room for us... don't solidly book the place following all those rave reviews (so well-deserved!).
Last but not least -- to Ken and Belinda: thanks ever so much! hope you keep enjoying all this hard work!

Welcoming stay in an enchanting area

I can warmly recommend this property to anyone looking for a comfortable base from which to explore one of Italy's greatest regions. The hosts could not be more friendly and considerate, and make guests feel very much at home. If you are looking for a base with homelike amenities such as a full-function kitchen, great bed, pool, a lush garden with wonderful vistas, washer-dryer etc then this is for you. Guests should be accepting of the resident (well behavied and friendly) dogs and cats however.
Owner's Response: It was really nice having this Swedish-Canadian family...great couple with two really great kids (I'd give them five out of five too!). Future guests should know, however, that the two dogs can be kept inside when there are guests in the garden if they like... we always ask if it's OK before letting them out. This is our first season, but it looks like having people from around the world is going to be fun! Ken & Belinda Crofutt
