Please be aware that Mill Valley consists of many tiny streets covering the hillsides-the streets are narrow and most are 2 way. It can be very intimidating when driving up and down the hills. Accidents rarely happen as people are very accustom to these streets but to a visitor they can be daunting. Use caution at all times. The parking in front is first come first serve so if there are no spaces, try parking further up the hill.
Keywords: House-Lower Unit- located on a small street above the quaint town of Mill Valley. Peaceful and private surrounded by nature yet so close to town you can smell the coffee. Easy access to SF, bus, ferry's Mt Tam and Muir Woods. Less than an hour to wine country. Mill Valley is a valley town and the roads are all very small and windy as they traverse the hills above town. An economy car can be less daunting for those unaccustomed to driving on narrow roads.

I love Mill Valley and have an opportunity to share it with others. I love offering tips and local insight to this area. I am very knowledgeful of all the steps and trails all over the area. Bring your walking shoes if you really want to experience Mill Valley. I even have maps of the trails in the apartmenr-ready for your use.
It is less than a five minute walk to the Mill Valley Plaza, Depot, and Public Transportation, Sequoia Theater/Mill Valley Film Festival, Mill Valley Outdoor Art Club, City Hall, three coffee houses, twenty restaurants and popular Mill Valley Market (Grocery, Produce & Meat Departments, Delicatessen, Wine & Spirits, Ready-to-Eat Foods) and 142 Throckmorton Theater, Sweetwater Bar, the Mill Valley Fall Arts Festival and Mill Valley Library.
Your reception was so warm and I like the way you arrange things in your guest house. The herbs on the balcony, the tiny birdhouse, an outside bath tub!
Thank you for the bird book and binoculars and the French coffee.
I love the palm tree, I never saw a specimen like that!
I enjoyed nothing more then sitting on the deck, in the sun, drinking my coffee completely surrounded by nature. I will most definitely be back!
My boyfriend and I stayed for a week to ring in the New Year in San Francisco and had an amazing time! The apartment was peaceful, private, and had everything we could have wanted. The bed was the most comfortable either of us had ever slept in! Thank you, Jeannie, for a memorable break from reality.
This was a great place to spend a few nights! The apartment was well equipped, cozy, and pretty easy to find. It's easy to get into the city from there, and also very close to Mt. Tam, Muir and Stinson Beaches. My only gripe is that we couldn't stay for longer. I'd recommend this place to anyone!
Comfortable, pretty,well-equipped, lovely deck, and a great view into the nature-filled backyard -- we were totally pleased!
This was a great vacation spot for a much-needed getaway! Jeannie was so nice and accommodating and provided such a cozy place to stay for our vacation. Mill Valley was also beautiful and such a friendly town. We recommend Jeannie's place without any reservations. We had a wonderful time!!
Wonderful, quiet spot. Cozy beds, fluffy robes, and everything you might need for a short stay. An easy walk to downtown Mill Valley, too! Highly recommend spot. Probably not good for very young children as the land is not level, and the road to town is rather hilly for young walkers.
The Dipsea Race--the first cross-country race in the country, Mountain Play, Mill Valley Fall Arts Festival, Marin Theater Company--professional regional theater, Mill Valley Film Festival, 142 Throckmorton Theater featuring Comedy night every Tuesday, and many other GREAT artists & musicians thru the week. The infamous Sweetwater Bar has great food and music!
