My wife and I just returned from a 2 week stay at this lovely property on Tiana Bay. The owner was helpful, responsive to all of our questions, and an absolute pleasure to deal with. Everything about the house and our stay there was exactly as she promised and as represented in the listing.
The house is clean, charming and comfortable; perfect for a couple (and it could easily accommodate a third person). The kitchen was well equipped and stocked with all of the staples, and the bathroom had fresh towels and other nice touches (like fancy soap). The feel of the house is very beachy. It is in a fantastic setting, right on a beautiful bay with a sandy beach which rarely had other people on it during our stay there. Swimming, kayaking and sun-bathing are literally steps away from the screened porch door. The yard is large and private, with beautiful plantings. The neighborhood was quiet. The nearest ocean beach is a short distance by car (we also rode our bikes there several times, and that took only 15 minutes). It costs $20 for a day pass at that beach (only necessary if you park a car there), which we thought was a good deal.
The Town of Hampton Bays is about 5 minutes by car and has grocery stores, lots of restaurants, a great bakery and a movie theater. We also drove to Southampton several times (only about a 20 minute ride), and also to Westhampton Beach (about 25 minutes away), both of which had loads of restaurants and boutique shopping.
In summary, we loved this house, had a great experience, and would recommend this rental without hesitation.
