Come and stay the week at our wonderful log cabin. In a quiet, wooded spot 4 miles before Bar Harbor, the cabin sits well back from the road and is on the route of the free Explorer bus. With its full kitchen, you can chose whether you want to eat out, dine in, or pack a lunch. Staying in a real log cabin that is cozy and uncluttered, you can find yourself unwinding and relaxing in the calming atmosphere. The time when you just want to relax for awhile, you'll have plenty of space to watch TV or a DVD, do a jigsaw puzzle, play a board game, sit around the kitchen table for some conversation, or read a good book by the fire or up in the loft. Try all that in a B&B or motel/hotel room! If there is a rainy or foggy stay in day, you'll be thankful for all the room the house has. And we welcome your family dog.

This is the greatest place for the most fantastic yet economical vacation ever. Once you arrive on Mount Desert Island, you'll be busy here your entire visit. While staying at our log cabin home you'll have a full kitchen so you can eat in and pack lunches to go as much as you want for a huge savings. Acadia National Park, the Visitors Center is just a mile down the road, has it all: beaches, forests, cliffs, crashing surf, hiking trails, bike paths, lakes, mountains, picnic areas, and so much more for a fee of $20 per car for the whole week! The free explorer bus is easily accessed from the end of our driveway, it even takes your bikes along.
