Third Street cottage II is a charming getaway with all the comforts of home. Just two blocks to beautiful Lake Michigan! Enjoy the quiet of this peaceful setting and have easy access to a spectacular beach at the same time! Very few properties offer such easy access to Lake Michigan at such a reasonable rate! This home is perfect for a family to reserve both sides (see property # 187111) or to enjoy as a private enclave.It is very charming, very clean and beautifully appointed, with 2 bedrooms and one bathroom. The interior has a very open floor plan, with living room and kitchen flowing together. The cottage also features a deck for grilling and dining all surrounded by private gardens. Enjoy all the fun that Saugatuck/Douglas and Lake Michigan have to offer, while also having quiet and privacy!

actually a duplex

On the positive side the location was perfect and it was very clean. We were very surprised to find that it's a duplex and would not have rented it if we would have know that prior to our arrival. The dishwasher was broken, the dryer was very loud, and there is no cable or Internet. We just wanted to be able to check the weather to plan our daily activities. However, there is a nice Internet cafe in downtonwn Douglas that we took the laptop for our Internet needs. We loved the beach and thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Michigan, we were just very upset that we had rented a duplex. The neighbours in the other duplex were equally surprised.

Cozy Douglas Cottage

This is a very cute, cozy cottage. It looked like the whole place had just been painted and the owner has taken great care in providing comfortable and good quality furnishings inside and out, a fantastic grill and lovely garden setting front and back. We had a great time. Two little things were not as advertised - the TVs (two) didn't work (my husband likes to watch golf and baseball games) other than for DVDs and the dishwasher was broken. I guess I have learned to verify that all info is still the same as mentioned in the home's description. As I said, though, this is a really cute, comfortable little spot.
