We spent a week at this great location in the winter and a week in the summer. Both were fun times. My kid loved sledding by the house and up by the lodge a short walk away. And in the summer, we went down to the lake and had a cookout right on the beach. I also took my boy out sailing and fishing. The house itself is very comfortable and sleeps at least 4 couples comfortably. There is plenty of space and beautiful light. One really feels as if one is away. The house is really off the charts, that is how good it is. I highly recommend it.

We recently spent a summer week at this lovely new home in Masthope. The house was very much as described, new, bright, airy, comfortable, and very appealing. We were greeted by local wildlife from the first day - the deer literally eat out of your hands.We also saw many varieties of birds. The area was quite picturesque. We enjoyed the winding country roads, the proximity to the Delaware River and the lovely Roebling Bridge at the Aqueduct. We found quaint shopping at neighboring towns, like Hawley, Honesdale and Milford all about 20 to 30 minutes away. We spent the day in Bethel NY - home of the Woodstock Museum - about a 25 minute drive. The Museum is a lot of fun and worth the trip. Just 2 miles past it is a lovely Korean Arts Village where you can enjoy authentic Korean food and learn about Korean Culture from a wonderfully friendly waitress/tour guide. In the Masthope Mountain Community you will find a lovely swimming pool, a nice Sandy Beach with life guards, and free boat rentals. There is also a horse stable on the property. Renters can go on trail rides with a guide for $20 for about an hour. It was well worth it. The stable was clean, the animals seemed well cared for, and the staff was very helpful and friendly. Just a few things to keep in mind - bring your own sheets and towels, as the house had none. Grocery shopping is also a bit of a drive, so come with some immediate essentials. The restaurant in the lodge on the property is good and reasonable, and you can get pretty good take out pizza from there, too. Restaurants in the area though, can be a drive - you do need to plan ahead.All in all, we had a great stay and would do it again.
