Get away from it all. A wonderful, secluded place of solitude and inspiration for artists, photographers, writers, musicians and all creative types or just a place to enjoy with family or friends.

Log cabin at Gates Lake located in Birken, 30 miles north of Whistler rated number one Ski Resort in North America. The location is very scenic, private, with paved road and year round easy access to the cabin.

A beautiful 2000 sq. ft. Log home, 2 bedrooms, and den, with large living room a 200 acre area of forest, surrounded by stunning mountains and a private trail to waterfall. The property has 300 ft. of lakefront, and the cabin in only 3min. walk through private trail to the lake.

This beautiful, clean lake with a private dock makes a great swimming and picnic area. There is a large grassy area in front of the the cabin and the lake suitable for many games, wonderful area for relaxing, reading and nature viewing. This lovely log cabin is a 4 season destination for those looking for variety, and also cost effective way to enjoy Whistler plus its own recreational opportunities. The cottage is completely equipped. Just bring your good food, settle in and enjoy the breathtaking view of mountains and lake.

Romantic Winter Valentines Get-Away!

This experience was exactly what we were looking for! The cabin is wonderfully maintained and situated in a wonderful tranquil location surrounded by mountains and forestry with Gates Lake a short walk away. Our experience met all our expectations especially as we're expecting our first child in May so at 27 weeks pregnant we just wanted to relax by bringing out the guitar, reading and immersing ourselves into art.
We had hoped for more snow but we have no control of the weather! Perhaps next time we'll visit during Dec or Jan :) We did try and find the waterfall without success which was a shame but it was a gorgeous snowy walk none-the-less and at least we did find the babbling brook. Perhaps a more detailed route on how to find it would have been helpful. That said we loved the sense of adventure! Our last night was punctuated by a sky lit night with the most amazing view of the stars. Which we managed to photograph and have come home with some amazing memories.
We will definitely be back and hope to bring our parents with us. Thank you!

Winter Wonderland

It's not often you find a property that actually exceeds your expectations from the website photos. The property is spectacular. It felt like we were stepping into a Christmas Card. The Cabin was so homely and cozy. It had all the creature comforts for a fabulous White Christmas stay. We will be back.

Amazing area, property and lake! Fell in love with birken and the cabin. Definitely check it out if you want to get out of the city for a few days. I am hooked! Will be coming back every summer! Oh yeah, the private dock to the lake, with boat and canoe is also very sweet!

Beautiful

I surprised my husband with a runaway vacation and this was a perfect place to go. Close to Whistler if you would like a bit of shopping, tourist attractions and restaurants. But, if pure relaxation is what you are looking for it is also the place to be, along with the deer you can enjoy a comfortable cottage and private spot at the lake or leisurey strolls. We had a very enjoyable stay, thanks!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 day stay in May and only wished it could have been longer. The premises has a rustic comfy feel with all the necessities Sitting on the deck and enjoying the beautiful scenary was so relaxing and peaceful. The view is breathtaking and the ambience of the fireplace and cabin decor was inviting and certainly refreshing from a fast paced city life. Our family and friends will definitely return to enjoy this gem in the mountains of BC.
