Hawaii Kai Vacation Rental cottage

Richard and I stayed in Peter & Libby's Tropical Vacation Cottage for a week in May 2009. We had a wonderful time! Peter and Libby are friendly, helpful hosts who make you feel right at home immediately. We loved the airy, high ceiling with open beams, the peaceful interior in white and off-white, the breeze created by the ceiling fans, the sound of birds and the fragrance of blooming gardenias. The king-sized bed is super comfortable -- for once, I enjoyed a vacation without missing my own bed! The hot tub and outdoor shower is a real treat and so romantic. The cottage is conveniently located in a tropical suburb close to the urban activities and night life of Honolulu and Waikiki but you are definitely away from the city hustle and bustle. Close to good locations for water sports, beautiful beaches and hiking. Also close to shopping strips where you can find a variety of good restaurants and other stores (Tip: rent a car, you'll want it). The residence feels very private but Libby and Peter are only a phone call away whenever you need anything. I very much appreciated the free phone calls and WiFi (Tip: connectivity gets interrupted intermittently, save your work when filling out forms online!) Also, it was great to have a full-size washer and dryer. My husband and I highly recommend this lovely, reasonably priced vacation cottage to other couples and singles looking for a romantic, private, well-equipped home away from home! Whenever we return to Oahu, this is where we want to stay.
