A Natural High

When we arrived, we were so thrilled to see that it was better than we could have even hoped for. As we knew, we were immediately drawn to the ocean with its' ledges and pounding waves. The view from the front windows is breathtaking! The house is spacious and every bit what you would hope for in a vaction home. Everything a person would need is there for the renter; with the exception of linens and towels. There were just the two of us and it was a very romantic setting. We loved the sounds of the crashing waves as we lay in bed. I feel this would be an excellent place for a family or friends to come together. One thing that one has to understand is that water is at a premium on the island. You don't flush the toilet 30 times a day. :=) There are a number of eating places within minutes of the house, and we did not have one bad meal while there. Seafood is great! Each day we ventured out and did the island and took a trip to the mainland. Absolute must that you bring a camera! We found the Maine people to be quite friendly and willing to share with us their heritage as residents and/or fisherman, (lobstermen & women) Children; especially teenagers, will get bored if they can't find other teens or if you don't take them to the mainland every once in awhile; so we recommend you leave them at the vets or dog pound when you come. It will be cheaper and a more leisurely vacation for you, we're sure:=) We have already told our children about this place and how neat it would be if we could meet there some time in the future.
All of the above made me almost forget the fact that I had to sleep on a mattress without any box springs, a first for me. Didn't see any springs on any of the beds. Surprisingly, I was able to sleep. No other complaints.
