Sunsets at the end of the canal, restaurants just minutes away, nightlife incomparable in all the Keys, and of course the world class fishing and snorkeling and diving.
You will no doubt enjoy the huge deck with fountain It will provide an enchanting spot to relax in the sun or the shade while enjoying the canal and ocean views. At the end of a day in town sightseeing, shopping, or out fishing, I usually start the barbecue on the deck then begin cleaning the fish and boat. Pam freshens up in the house and makes a drink for us both to enjoy on the deck. As we relax by the fountain we decide our next move. Will we watch the sunset by land or sea? Or should we begin a new night fishing experience? Or do we visit our favorite happy hour location (a listing of such is provided at the cottage)? There are no wrong answers in the keys its 'all good.'
Lower Matecumbe is the name of our small island in Islamorada. We are at mile marker 76.5. (THE REAL ISLAMORADA). We are walking distance to Robbie's Marina, home to a large resident population of tarpon the you can watch and feed. They also have boat rentals and tours, and a wonderful restaurant. We are also very close to Bud and Mary's Marina, Papa Joe's, Sandy Cove, and Calusa Cove Marinas, and more. There are many restaurants with in three miles to visit by boat or car or bike.
A stay at our location puts you about 100 yards from the Atlantic Ocean, but back water access is just minutes via Indian Key Channel or world famous fishing channels number #2 or #5. Clean, quite, private, fully updated and outfitted makes our house fun and functional for the whole family. Pam and I look forward to having you stay. I will be waiting for your call to tell you even more about the house and the area.
