Welcome to NC's Blue Ridge Mountains! You have just found the closest and most unique Vacation Rental to Stone Mountain State Park!
Our cabin is located less than 1 mile to the entrance of Stone Mountain State Park where you will find magnificent Waterfalls, historic landmarks, hiking trails, mountain climbing and much, much more!
Imagine this...you're sitting on the front porch of a beautiful log cabin, enjoying the cool, fresh mountain air. Now...look out below and you will see a 70 mile panoramic view featuring every shade of the color green spread out over a wide forested valley and time softened mountains. White clouds hang like dollops of meringue in the Carolina blue sky. (Continued below)
Now...look east and you will see Pilot Mountain ('Mt. Pilot' as it was referred to on the famous Andy Griffith TV show). And on a clear day, you can see the tall buildings in downtown Winston Salem, NC, over 50 miles away!
And at night...Wow...the twinkling night lights in the valley are breathtaking and soooo romantic!
Natural beauty of the magnitude is so inspiring and a true feast for the senses...it nourishes the soul.
It will be equally magnificent when Autumn leaves paint it red, copper, bronze and gold; when winter snow blankets it with a sparkling layer of sugar white, and when spring shoots, buds and flowers inundate it in a sea of lacy pastel foam.
Our Stone Mountain rental cabin is the perfect vacation spot for all seasons!

Centrally located to many Blue Ridge Mountain attractions.
We are the closest cabins to North Carolina's Stone Mountain State Park. The park offers great hiking, fishing and rock climbing. We are also near Mt. Airy, the home of Andy Griffith and the Yadkin Valley wineries.
The cabin was private but easy to get to, only one mile from Stone Mountain State Park, which I also HIGHLY recommend. The cabin is located either on top of a mountain or on a ridge because the view is amazing! You're so high up you see clouds below! Being able to bring our dogs was a bonus, too. The exterior of the cabin looks like the original hewn logs, but the interior has been refinished in a beautiful knotty pine. Upon entering, the place smells of pine! Everything you could need is provided in this cabin. The owners are friendly and the manager is close by if needed. We also went to "Mayberry", but next time will stay here longer!

I had been to this cabin 11 years ago, I have been talking to my husband about this place and could not find it! We happened to come upon it on the website and he booked it as a surprise to me, within 30 mins he was contacted by the owners and it was booked! I was pleasantly surprised and over joyed! When we arrived, I fell in love with this cabin all over again. It is a beautiful place to stay, very well maintained and clean. I know we will be back, would love to make this a new tradition for my family! We have already told family and friends!
Great little cabin. Has everything you need for staying in. Country store is just down the road for supplies. Wonderful view! Stone mtn park just down the road. Hiking was great.
My husband and I were absolutely amazed with this cabin. We arrived to the cabin during the night and did not get a chance to see the beautiful scenes until the next morning. THEY WERE AMAZING!!!! God's country for sure. The photos on this site are good, but in order to appreciate the true beauty, it is a MUST SEE to be amazed of the beauty. We enjoyed going to Stone Mountain almost everyday and enjoyed the nature and the deer that would come out to feed in the late evening. My husband especially enjoyed sticking his feet in the creek and trust me that is some COLD water even in May. We also enjoyed going to Stone Mountain Country Store for some hand dipped ice cream! We enjoyed this vacation so much, we are looking at the calendar to plan a return visit, hopefully in the fall when the leaves are changing. Thank you Ed and Martha for sharing your cozy cabin in the mountains with us.
As I drove into the property, I was thinking I must not be at the right place. There was no way I paid so little for this little peace of Heaven. I went there to just get some rest and clear my head for a few days and it was a perfect place to just shut the outside world out and just breath and enjoy the beauty. The state park was so close and it also was peaceful and beautiful. The cabin had everything I needed. I was an woman that stayed here alone and was a little concerned about that, as I've never done this before. But I felt safe, comfortable, and at home the minute I pulled into the property. The property is very well maintained. The view is awesome. I was able to sit and watch a storm off in the distance one evening, followed by a beautiful rainbow! I agree with the review that said the futon wasn't comfortable to sit on, but I wasn't there to sit inside and watch TV. I spent all my time sitting in a rocker outside. The only thing I would have liked to have was an blanket on the bed. But even that wasn't a big deal. The bed was very comfortable. I will be planning my next stay at the charming place as soon as I can! Thank you for sharing this place with others! You made my week very comfortable! P.S. The instructions and directions to get there and check-in were excellent!
Wonderful View! we loved visiting Stone Mountain. Loved the hot tub and having our morning coffee on the porch watching the view that will take your breath away..Its nice to be able to bring our dogs and a nice little road to take them for a walk. The cabin is cute as a button. As far as being clean inside all except for needing a new table cloth I would say it was good. Out side was very clean and very well landscaped. The sheets and bedspread were nice and clean but really need to be replaced soon. The mattress also could be replaced. The futon in the living room looks new but was the most uncomfortable I would suggest bringing a blow up mattress to put on top of it. Would I go back? YES i would. I loved the cabin. But next time I will bring my own sheets and something to put on the futon. I have already recommended this little cabin to two of my friends for a weeks get-a-way. The owners are wonderful people and do all they can to help.
thank you for making the cabin available.
