My husband and I spent the week at the house with our little boston terrier. The house was perfect for our needs. Our little dog loved running up and down the hill to the boat. It was only an hour and a half drive from Louisville. The house was neat and clean and well equipped. Our cell phones didn't work very well which was actually a relief for us but did have wireless internet so we could catch up with work when we felt like it. We didn't feel like working very much. The lake is gorgeous and so quaint, we had a great time looking at all the cabins and the house boats and checking out the marinas. We sat out on the deck in the evenings and it was very quiet and peaceful. The lake is in a remote area but only about a 10 mile drive to get supplies if needed. We even drove into Nicholasville one night for dinner, about 26 miles and beautiful drive. The japanese steak house there is awesome! The owner was so helpful answering all of our questions about the area and made us feel very comfortable. Also the shower has a lot of pressure and gets nice and hot, a must when we travel for us! Our only regret is that we didn't bring our 13 year old son because he was on another trip. He would have loved fishing off the dock and exploring the lake. We will definitely come back again!
