This architect designed modern studio is located in downtown Austin’s historic “Swede Hill” neighborhood. Located blocks from Austin’s central business district, the Austin Convention Center and walking distance to the University of Texas. Walk to some of Austin’s hip restaurants and bars on the east side. The studio is a spacious and airy 650 square feet, with high ceilings, skylights and glass doors looking out onto the garden. The bedroom has a comfy queen sized bed and there is a new sofa bed in the living room (can sleep up to 4). Located behind the architect owner’s modern home, the studio is beautifully and tastefully furnished and fully equipped with high-quality sheets, towels and kitchen equipment. The outdoor private patio is a great place to relax and enjoy Austin.

Recent Review: We stayed in this guest house for 4 nights. The owner, Amy, was more than gracious and invited us in to see her amazing home that her husband designed. The guesthouse in back is very spacious with a separate bedroom and full kitchen and bath. The living area has a pull out sofa as well. If you are fans of Dwell Magazine and modern design, this is the place to stay. I loved the privacy as well as the photography and art in the place which made us feel at home. The location is great (only a few minutes to downtown). We will definitely stay here next time we visit Austin. This really made our trip memorable and thankfully we did not stay at a hotel!
