Plenty of sporting things to do, like golf (5-6 great courses within 20 miles), tennis, canoeing, sailing, rafting, hiking, etc. Wonderful views in the fall, the world's greatest leaf changing area. Summer weather is the finest for the beaches and swimming. The history of the area is breathtaking and very educational. The whole Southern Coast of Maine is spectacular, from Portsmouth, NH to Kennebunkport, ME. and beyond.

Nice big house

What a nice big house it was for us. We were 6 adults and 4 young kids and everyone had a great time and enough space to play. We were finishing our dinner while the kids were watching a movie in the family room. The house is near the beach and the long beach in York is very nice. More than that, there is a play ground for the kid at the elementary school within a 5 min walk.

Excellent Wedding Party Rental!

The listing description was extremely accurate. We were surprised how much nicer the house and surroundings actually were in person, compared to the listing-a pleasant surprise. We found the house clean, roomy, and with many updated features. The yard was beautiful! Not only did the owners provide excellent customer service, but we were greeted by a card addressed to us, "The Newlyweds," upon our arrival. I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a large and practically set up property in a great location with tons of parking available. We found the house tastefully decorated and very homey.
We got married on York Harbor Beach on the last day of our stay and our entiure wedding party was able to get ready in the house without stepping all over one another. the trolley we chartered was even able to fit down the driveway to pick the bride and bridesmaids up at the door :)
The neighbors are also insanely helpful and friendly! (They even moved their cars so that we could have some of our BBQ guests park in their driveway)
We are so appreciative to the owners for helping make our wedding even more special.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Pet-friendly, Adventure Seekers, Girls Getaway, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway
Owner's Response: My wife and I are so pleased, that you, your family and your wedding party guests found our home to your liking. We have always felt that we wanted a home for our guests that gave comfort and is well maintained. We, personally, would want to stay in our home or one like it, when we travel.
A home allows a family to stay together and enjoy each other for a longer period of time, motels do not allow that luxury.
Once again, "Congratulations" on your wedding. We wish you many years of happiness.
