Completed in December 2007, The Silver Lake Timber House was constructed the same way a barn was built over 200 years ago - using large Eastern White Pine timbers that are pinned together with Oak pegs using handcrafted techniques passed down over the years. Of course modern amenities such as insulation, high efficiency windows, latest in plumbing and heating, and meticulous finishes were added.

The home provides a relaxing vacation get-away with so many outdoor and indoor amenities you may decide to never use the car for your entire stay! You can enjoy many outside activities such as leaf peeping, boating, hiking, biking, and running. Or you can hang out and enjoy the private deck over looking the peaceful oak forested back yard, catch up on some movies on the HD home theater with cable, or use the wireless internet. You can cook up a great meal in the fully equipped kitchen or on the gas grill. At night sit on the front porch and listen to the loons or relax in the comfortable living room and enjoy the cozy gas fireplace.

The Silver Lake Timber House is located across the street from pristine Silver Lake, a 2x3 mile river fed lake just 20 minutes south of North Conway at the entrance to Mt Washington Valley. Silver Lake is one of the cleanest & deepest lakes in NH with a large sandy association beach just a 2 minute walk away. Other 'lakes' in Madison are actually ponds. The association beach area has beautiful mountain views toward Mt Chocorua, the Sandwich range and all the way north to Mt Washington. There is a roped swimming area with swim raft, BBQ & picnic areas, changing rooms, bathrooms, a dock for boats. A boat mooring for Silver Lake Timber House is available if you need it. There is also a canoe available for guests to use that is kept at the beach. There are trails for hiking and mountain biking. Since East Shore Drive is a dead end road the traffic is light making for a nice place to walk, run or bike.
