PERFECT LAKE & MOUNTAIN HOME FOR A WINTER GET AWAY!!

This home provides a relaxing vacation getaway with so many outdoor and indoor amenities you may decide to never use the car for your entire stay! You can enjoy many outside activities such as walking to the lake, ice fishing, snow mobiling, sno-shoeing, cross country skiing, and running. Or hang out and enjoy this authentic timber home nestled in a peaceful oak forested with views of the lake across the street. Later catch up on some DVDs on the HD home theater with cable, or use the wireless internet. You can cook up a great meal in the fully equipped kitchen or on the gas grill. Relax in the comfortable living room and enjoy the cozy gas fireplace. King Pine Ski and Tubing is 15 minutes away, Cranmore and Attitash ski areas are 30-40 minutes. Sno-mobile to major trails right from the door.

The Silver Lake Timber House is located across the street from pristine Silver Lake, a 2x3 mile river fed lake just 20 min south of North Conway at the entrance to Mt Washington Valley. Silver Lake is one of the cleanest & deepest lakes in NH with a large sandy association beach just a 2 minute walk away.

About Paul

When we built this home in 2007 we wanted to construct something unusual that reminds us of the rugged NH wilderness yet provides all the comforts of home. We built The Silver Lake Timber House the same way a barn would have been built over 200 years ago - using large Eastern White Pine timbers that are pinned together with Oak pegs using handcrafted techniques passed down over the years. Of course modern amenities such as insulation, high efficiency windows, latest in plumbing and heating, and meticulous finishes were added.

Why Paul chose Silver Lake

We love our home and it's convenient location in the NH Lakes Region and also at the gateway to the White Mountains. The view from the lake looking at the mountains to the north reminds us of how great this location is. We enjoy the letters and notes from our guests that enjoy their stay at our home as much as we do.

This home is located in the northern edge of New Hampshire’s Lake Region and at the gateway to the White Mountains. Only a 2 minute walk to beautiful Silver Lake with a sandy beach and an amazing view overlooking the mountains to the north. There are plenty of nearby restaurants, stores, local attractions within minutes of the home. The village of Conway and North Conway with more shopping, restaurants, skiing, golf and other attractions and activities is a scenic 30 minute drive north.

Had a great week here at Silver Lake. Pictures do not do house justice, very clean and cozy. We went snowmobiling, sledding right from house, downhill skiing and cross country skiing at King Pine about 15 minutes away and skating and shopping up at North Conway. Plenty of room for everyone and kids loved pool table. Look forward to coming back next year.

We had a great time at your property this past weekend. We came up mainly to go to the corn maze at Sherman Farms and ended up going to the Fryeburg Fair and shopping in North Conway. It was very convenient for so many different activities. The house was beautiful and very clean and inviting. It would be perfect for a family summer vacation spot. We just might try planning something with the kids for next summer.

what a great house!

This was a fantastic experience all around. this was the first time i ever used homeaway so i didnt know what to expect. paul was extremely helpful and everything went smoothly. the house itself was amazing. we had 4 adults and two kids with plenty of room for all. it definately had that lodge look we were looking forward to. The basement gameroom was such a nice added bonus. We went tubing at king pine and was shocked at how close it actually was! also very close to north conway. we had such a wonderful time and cant wait to come back!! thank you again paul for making it such a great getaway weekend for us this is definately a home away from home!
