Glenverdant is a unique home sited as the last house on the top of the ridge in the community of Northpoint. From the upper deck there is a breathtaking view of Timberline ski resort. Across the valley you can see the skiers coming down the mountain even in the evening when the slopes are brightly lit. The top deck has a gas grill and ample seating for BBQ’s. There are 3 bedrooms, the first floor has one bedroom with a king bed and full bath attached. The second bedroom on the first floor has 2 twin beds. Both rooms have outdoor access to the lower deck and the private hot tub. The upper level bedroom includes a queen bed and full bath. The main level’s sectional sofa includes a pull out queen bed. There is comfortable seating around the wood-burning fireplace. There is a fully equipped kitchen and dining area. A half bath is on this level. Step out the door into Monongahela National Forest w/ a scenic hiking trail to Blackwater Falls State Park.

Timberline Resort & Dolly Sods: Canaan Valley has a variety of outdoor activities at all times of the year. Enjoy swimming, fishing and horseback riding in the summer when the temperature rarely goes over 80 degrees. Timberline Ski Resort has horseback riding and their lifts are open during the summer to see the spectacular views of Canaan Valley. Dolly Sods Wilderness Area has berry picking and many hiking trails to explore. In August you can watch the spectacular sight of American eagles flying over Dolly Sods as they migrate south.

Canaan Valley State Park & Seneca Rocks: Canaan Valley State Park includes golf, swimming, tennis and easy hiking all the while surrounded by rolling hills, hardwood forests and open meadows abundant with wildlife. Go rock climbing at Seneca Rocks one of West Virginia’s best-known landmarks. Seneca Rocks has 375 major mapped climbing routes varying in degrees for the most advanced rock climber to a beginner climber

Canaan Valley in the Winter: In the winter enjoy skiing, snowboarding, snow tubing and ice-skating at the local ski resorts. Canaan Valley can get 7 feet of snow in just one snowfall! Just down the road in historic Thomas, WV visit the Purple Fiddle restaurant to enjoy live music and food and see the MoutainMade Galleries which support local WV works of art and craftsmanship.
