SMILE - YOU'RE IN RHINEBECK HEAVEN... QUIET, PEACEFUL AND A QUICK DRIVE TO TOWN

Rhinebeck House Rental Photos and Description

House, 4 Bedrooms, 2.5 Baths (Sleeps 8 adults)

A rare gem - a comfortable, modern house with plenty of rural charm! It stands out from most other Rhinebeck area homes for this unusual combination.

Lots of quiet and privacy yet only 6 miles away from Rhinebeck and the Dutchess County Fairgrounds and Rhinebeck village. Beautiful views from every room. Large deck for outdoor dining. Eight person hot tub, wonderful for star gazing at night.

It is the perfect place for a year round getaway, with all the creature comforts of home and fine dining and outdoor activities nearby.

The first floor has stunning wood floors and a large open living space: an open loft living room/dining room/kitchen with a cozy gas fireplace & huge island with leather bar stools -- great for entertaining. Mudroom with plenty of space for coats and boots, and a den with a comfortable Italian leather sofa with a pull out bed. On the second floor are four bedrooms and two bathrooms, including a master bedroom with a huge walk in closet. Sprawling deck with grill. Our house is child friendly, with lush lawns, a play structure and rope swing and indoor games. Great for families and couples seeking a quiet rural getaway, with all the pleasures of gourmet dining, shopping, movies, historic sites and outdoor activities nearby!

As New York City dwellers we were looking for a truly secluded country setting where our kids and dog could play, roam and explore. We also wanted a traffic-free route that would take less than 90 minutes door-to-door. We love the Clinton-Corners, Rhinebeck area because it's beautiful, friendly, and offers so many cultural events and gourmet treasures. The farmers market, orchards and wineries are fantastic -- and how can you beat the $5 first run movies in Red Hook and incredible ice cream at Holy Cow?

Most of all, though, our home gives us a place to relax and unwind in the most spectacular setting.

Visit the Dutchess County Tourism website for lists of local restaurants, sites, outdoor activities, music other events.

The Owner purchased this house in 2006

We searched long and hard for a location where we could see no neighboring houses. We wanted quiet but also wanted to be close town center. We also wanted a place with cell phone coverage. We got it all.

The house is comfortable, relaxing and homey. Close to Bard, Vassar and Marist Colleges as well as the Culinary Institute of America and West Point. Minutes away from FDR Historic Site and Museum.

CLEAN, BEAUTIFUL, QUIET, WELL STOCKED, WELL TAKEN CARE OF... WOULD DEFINITELY RETURN

  • 5 of 5
My family (2 small kids) and another (same) stayed here for three nights. The house is very nice and on beautiful land; very well taken care of and in great repair; fully stocked in the kitchen for cooking, coffee, preparing meals, BBQs, etc.; there are interesting books to read on the shelves, a great hot tub, a tree swing... etc. etc. In an absolutely silent, secluded area about ten minutes' drive to the center of Rhinebeck. Owner very responsive, nice, and reasonable. Cannot think of anything negative about the entire experience or property. We would love to return as soon as we can!

WONDERFUL, WONDERFUL GETAWAY!

  • 5 of 5
This was rented for an extended weekend with five college friends. The accommodations were just as expected, comfortable and cozy! The owners could not have been more pleasant to deal with. The property was clean, well- maintained with a well-stocked kitchen ( if you plan on meal preparation). The photos reflect accurately the property and the hot tub was clean and a nice addition to the weekend activities. The area is secluded, a nice retreat and you definitely felt as you'd gotten away from it all. Rhinebeck is a short drive away with lots of interesting shops and above- average restaurants-due to it's proximity to CIA. All in all, a wonderful weekend! Stay at this place, you won't be sorry!

DIANNE, MOTHER OF MARIST GRADUATE

  • 5 of 5
This accomodation was exactily what I hoped for to celebrate my daughter's graduation from Marist! The home was open, perfect setting for us (8) to spend quality time together. The open layout for the kitchen/dining/living area was great for food prep, cooking and socializing! The owners were readily accessable and immediatly problem solved when the hot tub wasn't firing up! (Simple fuse switch right near the tub) We thoroghly enjoyed the hot tub! Very clean, well-kept property. It was a rainy weekend and we enjoyed the propane fireplace, and the ping pong table and dart board got used!
My only regret is I didn't know about this when my daughter was a freshman...we would have loved to have stayed here rather than hotels for the past few years....especially when she was a freshman, we came up and stayed the Feb vacation week in a hotel...this home would have been more ideal!
Overall....Great place, great hosts, easy to communicate with, my deposit was immediately returned, LOVED IT!!!!!

WONDERFUL MONTH IN THE COUNTRY!

  • 5 of 5
My husband and I rented this lovely and very comfortable house for the month of August, 2012. It was clean and well-kept, and the owners provided a well-equipped kitchen, complete instructions for the various appliances and amenities, as well as excellent information about the many activities in this terrific area (everything from hiking to fine dining and museums). We love to cook and found the open kitchen, living and dining area and deck perfect for our needs. Family members and friends who joined us during our stay enjoyed this wooded, private and convenient location as much as we did. We hope to rent this house again in the future!

DELIGHTFUL STAY IN

  • 5 of 5
Such a fun and relaxing stay in this charming home! The place has anything you could want--hot tub, large lawn, spacious bedrooms, and fully equipped kitchen for those who love to cook. Everything was exceptionally clean. The owners use the place frequently themselves, so it doesn't have that bland rental unit feeling. They were very nice and easy to deal with. We went apple picking and to the farmer's market in town. A delightful fall weekend! I highly recommend this place and can't wait to rent it again!
