On Mona Lake! Near many West MI Activities!

We welcome you to our lovely remodeled cottage on Mona Lake. Perfect location to enjoy all of what Muskegon and Grand Haven have to offer in summer activities. Including Party in the Park and Summer Celebration in Muskegon and Coast Guard Festival in Grand Haven. Feel free to take off on your windsurfer or jet ski or fish right from our beach or launch your boat at the boat launch located only a half block away. Firepit located at waters edge perfect for hotdog roasts or smores.

Mona Lake Park is is a half block away. There you will find a boat launch and childrens playground equipment.

Our lovely cottage is located 10 minutes from both Grand Haven State Park (Lake MI beach) and Pier Marquette State Park (Lake MI beach). Hoffmaster State Park is a mere 10 minutes away as well. You can find hiking as well as swimming in Lake Michigan at Hoffmaster.

Michigans Adventure amusement and water park is 30 minutes away.

Lakes Mall is located 10 minutes from the cottage.

The charming tourist town of Grand Haven is only 10 minutes away. There you will find shopping and dining as well as water activities, golf, tennis and miniature golf.

Fun time in Muskegon

I was a little worried when we first arrived, the park nearby is not very pleasant, the grass on the property was pretty long, and there was a ton of trash piled up outside! When we got inside the cottage was nice and clean and there was a note explaining the trash situation. I felt better!!

The cottage is nice, roomy, spare bed is alittle rough. The yard itself is spacious. The neighbor was nice and mowed our lawn for us and told us where to go to get to Pere Marquette beach on Lake Michigan, about 15 mins away.

Mona Lake was nice to have in the backyard however there were some loose boards that my kids kept tripping over, that should be fixed so someone doesn't have a serious accident. Also the lake is pretty rocky and i wouldn't suggest swimming in it. We fished and fed the ducks. Mona Lake was peaceful in the morning....

Overall it was worth the price, the Lake Michigan area is great and the cottage is a fine place for a family to have a relaxing vacation.

We had a wonderful time! The neighbors were all very friendly and the home was exactly as described. The kids loved the little beach and we all enjoyed the evening camp fires.

We spent Memorial Day weekend here and had a wonderful time. The cottage had everything we needed, except for some hanging space in the second closet. No big deal though.

My kids loved the garden and tiny beach. My six year old pointed out that that very small beach was much better than the ones in FL (!)

We were here with 4 adults and 2 kids (4&6), and had plenty of space.

The cottage was lovely and clean when we arrived, not so much when we left :) Sorry Aimee and Sandy.

Thanks so much, we will return soon!

lake stay 7/28 to 7/31

had a wonderful time- cottage set up is great
had one bad expirecence but sandy took care of issue ASAP -small beach area but all you need to swim-if you grill watch out for max(dog) he likes to mooch he is friendly lives around coner-if you go to edgewater grill- hugh servings and reasonable price-
not too far from mi adventures or grand haven-shopping on main road stay left within 1 mi there on the left
there were 4 adults-1 teenager-1 dog plenty of room never felt squeezed in-bug spay twilight or you will get bit-deck wonderful place to sit and talk-house decorated beautifully-mom really enjoyed the pictures on walls-i was suprised a dishwasher-worth coming back to
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Pet-friendly, Girls Getaway, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway

Mona Lake cottage

Home was very clean and worked well for our needs. We were attending a wedding. 7 of us stayed in the house. There is only 1 bathroom but our wedding was not until 2:00 so we had plenty of time to share. Only complaint was there was no toilet paper. The restaurant at the corner was excellent! The food was good and it is cheap. Located close to Meijer and Walmart. Also not too far from the Lake. Would recommend to anyone that is on a budget.
