Other Amenities:
For those families that have infants or toddlers, we can provide a portable crib and high chair.
We provide paddles and life jackets for canoeing.
Surrounding Area:
Since we are located in the foot hills of the White Mountains, the area is riddled with all sorts of hiking trails. Within ten minutes by car, there are two gentle mountain climbing trails: Bald Pate and Douglas Mountain. Bald Pate is the mountain that you see at the north of the lake and from the top of it you can not only see Peabody Pond, but also Long Lake and part of Sebago Lake. From the top of Douglas Mountain, on a clear day, you can see Canada as well as Sebago Lake and Mount Washington, in the Presidential range of the White Mountains.
Portland Area:
If you get tired of water activities and hiking, then you might want to explore the city of Portland with it's famous restaurants and micro breweries. You can also get a sense of early American history by walking in the historic Old Port, with it's historic buildings, boutiques, and ethnic restaurants. From the harbor, you can also take a scenic boat ride around Casco Bay and see the often photographed Portland Head Light.
