Relax at this Gorgeous One-of-a-Kind Private Lodge nestled on 10 Acres in the heart of the Pocono Mountains--only 1.5 hours from New York City! This is not your typical suburban community-style Pocono vacation rental! This contemporary log cabin home is located in beautiful Pike County--a must see for those who desire the feel of a cabin-in-the-woods getaway with all of the comforts of a luxury home. The Lodge features a Great Room with vaulted ceilings, skylights, and a gigantic open stone fireplace at the center of the room. The home also features an outdoor 6 person Hot Tub, over-sized sectional couch, 6 Foot DLP Projection home theater system, Sony Playstation 2 with lots of games, and a huge rear deck overlooking the forest and wetlands with plenty of tables and chairs for the whole group. For cooking, there is an enormous wood-burning stone fire pit. The property borders the 6200 Acre Delaware State forest--great for hiking!

There is a huge area of public land, lakes, ponds, wetlands, and forest surrounding the property. Nearby you'll find the Mountain Laurel Center with concerts and events, Pecks Pond, where you can see Bald Eagles, rent boats and fish, or eat at the historic Pecks Pond Inn. Lake Wallenpaupack, the third largest body of water in PA, is 20 minutes away. High Knob, one of the highest mountains in the Poconos, is just a few minutes away. Numerous ski areas, golf courses, paintball, boating, hiking, ATV and Snowmobile trails, waterfalls, and more are all in the nearby area. Milford, Stroudsburg, Matamoras, and Hawley are all about 20-30 minutes away. This property is located centrally in the Poconos so you are within a reasonable drive of almost all of the attractions. What is most unique about this property is that it is not in a gated community, unlike most Pocono vacation rentals, so you can enjoy real seclusion while still being close to civilization.

We had a great time at the house over Thanksgiving. The house truly is amazing and is equipped with everything you would want for a relaxing week in the country.
The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare our Thanksgiving feast. The house was also very warm and comfortable.

The area is really beautiful. We spent many hours walking on the local trails. I would not think twice about returning to this property again. The owners were very accommodating when dealing with the booking and when we left something behind at the house.
Recommended for:  Pet-friendly, Tourists without a Car, Romantic Getaway

Excellent stay and communication

We had a beautiful family re-union at the cabin. Cabin is amply stocked and Suzan was great at communicating/keeping us informed.
Look forward to being back!
Also, returned our deposit promptly.
