Two golf buddies and I stayed at the cottage for a week in early April and really loved the property. The house has abundant charm and all the appointments one needs for a carefree vacation. Throughout our stay, it felt as casually comfortable as one's favorite sweater. The setting itself couldn't be more tranquil. The cottage sits on a quiet rural lane, and the huge screened porch, which overlooks the Intracoastal Waterway, enjoys a steady breeze from the ocean. The bird life was amazing. As for golf, we played six rounds at nearby Lockwood Folly, which offers a challenging but fair test, accessible greens fees, pretty views, the occasional gator sighting, and none of the madness (traffic, crowds) of Myrtle Beach. All three of us look forward to another visit, and we recommend it without reservation.
