Windy Point Cottage http://www.windypointcottage.com/ratesavailability.html is a place to relax and enjoy family, friends or to retreat for quiet time alone. The cottage is located directly on the Inland Waterway with a beautiful pier extending from the front yard. Some of the most gorgeous sunrises and sunsets can be seen from here. This home is a great place for adults and children of all ages.

This is a place that offers so much, you may never feel the need to explore much beyond the yard, waterway and pier. Fishing, crabbing and clamming are just some of the activities that have kept kids and adults entertained for hours at a time. There is a grill to cook your daily catch, pots for crabs and steamers and a fire pit to roast marshmallows! If this doesn't keep you busy, Holden Beach is only a 10 minute drive. There you will find sandy beaches, a fishing pier, boat & kayak rentals and a grocery store.

About Windy Point Cottage: The cottage was purchased in 1967 by Robert and Aurelia Mobbs. When 'Doc' moved our family North to Massachusetts, 'Meme' wanted to maintain a connection to North Carolina. They settled on this house because it was next to our aunt and uncle's summer home. This allowed us to spend many summers with extended family and friends. We hope that you are able to enjoy this home and build memories of your own.

Loved loved loved this stay. Beautiful breathtaking sunset and sunrises, very close to holden beach which was just gorgeous. Nice quiet family atmosphere with such a home feeling. Beds very comfortable and I loved loved the porch looking out to the pier. Can't wait to stay again. Thank you :)

We had an amazing time during our stay! Everything was just as described and more than we what expected. If you are looking for a wonderful place to just relax and unwind from the day to day, then this is the place to be! I plan on returning with my family soon. Two golf buddies and I stayed at the cottage for a week in early April and really loved the property. The house has abundant charm and all the appointments one needs for a carefree vacation. Throughout our stay, it felt as casually comfortable as one's favorite sweater. The setting itself couldn't be more tranquil. The cottage sits on a quiet rural lane, and the huge screened porch, which overlooks the Intracoastal Waterway, enjoys a steady breeze from the ocean. The bird life was amazing. As for golf, we played six rounds at nearby Lockwood Folly, which offers a challenging but fair test, accessible greens fees, pretty views, the occasional gator sighting, and none of the madness (traffic, crowds) of Myrtle Beach. All three of us look forward to another visit, and we recommend it without reservation.

A little piece of Heaven

We had a great time! The house easily accommodated my family and in-laws. Need I say more? Really, the pictures on this site can't capture the true beauty of this location. Sunsets on the pier with a boat drink and sunrises on the pier with a cup of coffee. Kayaking, swimming, fishing, crabbing, golfing, cookouts, and board games. Best family vacation ever.

We love this house. It is a bit of heaven on earth. Such a great place to spend time with family and friends. So much to do without ever leaving. Fishing, swimming, clamming, crabing, kayaking and so much more. We can't wait to return.
