Birthday get away

My son and I share a birthday that we wanted to celebrate this year far from home and we found the absolute perfect place to do that. This home was extremely clean with modern decor and appliances. The deck was amazing for just relaxing outside or watching the wild life. There is lots to do in and around town (we went kayaking one of the days which was awesome) with stores near by for provisions. The house had some cooking supplies but make sure and bring anything you will need to cook (like spices, tin foil, etc.) I would definitely recommend staying here!!!

New Years Weekend

My husband and 2 other couples decided to rent a place for New Years weekend and we couldn't have found a better place! It had everything we need to have a great weekend; kitchen was stocked with needed cooking items, beds were clean and comfortable and the bathroom stocked with enough clean towels. We spent the most time playing board games and celebrating the incoming new year. Would highly recommend this place to anyone. Thanks for a great weekend that saved us from staying in a "stuffy" hotel room.

Great winter get-away!

Myself and 7 other grad students rented this house for a few days of relaxation over winter break. The owners, Liz and Mac, were very helpful and friendly. The house was beautiful (even nicer than the pictures on the website) and cozy. The living room provided great space for all of us to hang out, play games, and watch movies; the kitchen was well-suited to cooking for several people. We enjoyed exploring the woods behind the cabin and building snowmen in the yard. The owners also provided us with directions to the Nordhouse Dunes Wilderness Area from the cabin, and we spent a day exploring that area -- beautiful during the winter! Overall we had a great experience and would definitely come here again!

Wonderful Winter Wonderland

What an amazing place in northern Michigan! We had a fanastic weekend in your beautiful home with it's adorable decorations. This home was soooooo clean and well equipted. Plenty of extra pillows, blankets and the kitchen had everything you could have ever asked for.
A BIG thank you to Mac who came out on New Year's Eve with a tow rope to help get one of our cars out of the snow (I think there was about 2 feet over the weekend).
The kids loved sledding down the hill and ping pong tournaments
We would love to experience this home in the summer of 2010 and will surley come back next winter. Thanks you for the use of your beautiful home and your hospitality!

Great Get-away

3 of us went there for some R&R and some hunting and it was a great place to get away to. The location is very nice and secluded and you can hear Lake Michigan rolling on the shores!

Sitting on the deck and looking at natural Michigan forest was fantastic and the stars at night were incredible.

The inside is very well done and the furnishing are very well done. Mac and Liz are great folks and we would certainly look to stay with them at this place again.

Get away and stay here.
