Location:
Cozy Cove is located on Douglas Lake approximately 17 miles from Dollywood. It is located just off of HWY 411 from Sevierville. It is only a short drive to have a day of shows, shops and eating to relax on the lake. You can spend the day swimming, boating and fishing and come home to relaxation. This cabin is a great getaway for families and groups. If it is not large enough Cozy Hideaway is walking distance and can be rented in conjunction to have a quiet cove of your own. Stay once and you will want to come back every year
Douglas Lake:
Douglas Lake is located among the rolling uplands of the Great Valley of East TN. Set against the backdrop of the lush, green Smoky Mountain foothills. Douglas Lake attracts two million recreation visitors a year. Picnicking, boating, swimming and fishing are all popular activities of the reservoir. Douglas Lake provides 513 miles of shoreline and about 28,420 acres of water surface for recreation activities. Douglas Dam is 202 feet high and stretches 1,705 feet across the French Broad River. The water level in Douglas Reservoir varies about 41 feet in a normal year. Douglas Dam is a power producing dam. The generating capacity of Douglas's four units combined is 165,600 kilowatts of electricity.
Fish & Birds:
Fish species include but are not limited to Black Basses, Black Crappie, Bluegill Channel Catfish, Crappie, Largemouth Bass, Sauger, Smallmouth Bass, Walleye, White Bass and White Crappie just to name a few. Douglas Lake has several fishing tournaments throughout the year. The new Bass Pro is just approximately 25 miles from our cabin. Mariana's are located throughout the lake and provided bat rentals, Jet Ski rentals and souvenirs. Recommendations can be made up on request.
Birdwatchers enjoy the fall migration of shore birds, wading birds and other waterfowl that flock to Douglas from late August to early October. The birds rest and feed in the shoreline and areas of shallow water exposed as the level of the reservoir is lowered in late fall to prevent spring flooding downstream.
