House, 2 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 2 Baths, (Sleeps 4-5)

Spacious furnished home located in Weeki Wachee, FL. It is 49 miles north of Tampa. Watch out for golf carts. Some residents drive them to and from the Heather Golf Club, located at the entrance of the development. Community pool and tennis courts also at the Heather Golf (par 33) course. Our home features a huge furnished Lanai with large futon. Full kitchen, large master bedroom and 2nd bedroom both with queen size beds and bath rooms. Kitchen table, separate dinning room table and table and chairs in the lanai makes plenty of room for dinning.

Pine Island Beach is 12 miles. Weeki Wachee City of Mermaids/Buccaneer Bay is minutes away. Tampa is an hour away. Tampa highlights include, Busch Gardens, Lowry Zoo, Florida Aquarium, and Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino. It's not a gated community but a pleasant wave to the booth attendant at the entrance of The Heather would be customary. The Heather development is right off US19 with easy access to highways. Any directions provided at request.

About The Owner

Darlina and Andy Barber from upstate New York looking forward to moving to Florida when we retire. Until that time we offer our home as a vacation rental.

Why The Owner chose Brooksville

The Spring Hill/Brooksville area is where my mom lived for over 20 years. We like the area better then the east coast of Florida. There is less hustle n' bustle, plus this area of the gulf coast has had no storm damage since 1960.

What makes this house unique

The weather is excellent, and everything you need is close by. We like Busch Gardens and have been there many times. Ten minutes from our home is Pines Island Beach. It's a cute, quiet, well kept beach that is all we need for some sun and leisure. The new Casino in Tampa has drawn our attention. It is a great place to spend a few hours, and is a short drive from the house.

Great winter place to stay

We stayed at the property for five months Dec 1, 2011 to April 30, 2012 and had a wonderful time. The house and area was as advertised. I would recommend this property to everyone. We would like to thank our hosts Darlina and Andy my wife an I had a great winter thanks again.

We stayed from December 27 thru March 31st of 2011. We found the property as advertised. We
had a wonderful time. A lot of nice places to walk and a beautiful golf course. I would definitely
recommend this property to family and friends. The home was clean and comfortable and I would
definitely stay again.

We stayed at this lovely, spacious home for three months this past winter. Although the weather did not always co-operate, the owners did everything they could to make our stay a pleasant one. We were welcomed at the immaculate home with a booklet containing maps and directions to several golf courses and tourist attractions. We found the house to be well equipped for our needs. It is located in a quiet, safe neighbourhood. We would recommend this property for short or long term rental.

Excellent Place to Spend the Winter

My husband and I spent 3 months at this lovely, spacious home. It was immaculate and located in a safe, quiet community. The owners were very generous and helpful with the accommodations. I would recommend this rental, especially if you like to golf and shop.

We recently stayed at the house for 2 weeks. The house is beautiful and the neighborhood is peaceful. We enjoyed the screened in room very much. It is conveniently located to many attractions. Our favorite was the Lowry Park Zoo.
