Comfortable and Quiet Furnished Studio on Canal Saint Martin

After many years of architectural renovation, Place de la République and the area near the Canal Saint Martin have once again found the charm they possessed in the 19th century. The area, because of its typical Parisian atmosphere, the bucolic surroundings of the Canal Saint Martin and the pleasant night life of the neighborhood, is one of the most popular areas of Parisians among all age groups. On Sundays, the streets along the open portion of the canal are closed to vehicular traffic allowing the streets to be used for strolling, bicycle riding or skating. Since the renovation of the Canal a few years ago, a multitude of shops, cafés and small restaurants have opened. In close proximity (300 yards), is the Place de la République, the second largest square in Paris. Due to its size and geographic disposition, Place de la République, which is being turned into a pedestrian zone, is served by five metro lines and a large number of public transportation buses going in all directions of Paris. The Marais, an old historical area of Paris is on the south and East side of Place de la République. To the west of the square is the area called 'Grands Boulevards'. The area around the studio is rather busy at all times, well lighted at night and safe. Numerous stores, shops and restaurants are close by for all your daily shopping needs. For those who enjoy open air markets, within walking distance, are two large markets on Boulevard Jules Ferry (Popopincourt and Bastille)
