In an effort to renew our marriage, my husband and I stayed at this charming cottage for a weekend in Edisto. From the moment we saw it nestled next to a duck pond among the pines and ancient oak trees, we fell in love. The night we arrived it was raining quite heavily, but we were able to find the cottage easily, since it's off a main road, yet just out of the way enough to feel secluded in the woods. The cottage was very clean and tastefully decorated, with a spacious King bed to relax on, a comfortable loveseat to cuddle on while watching a movie, and plenty of space to cook meals and dine together. While we didn't get to enjoy the cabana, since there was a lot of pollen this year, we did enjoy opening up a window in the dining area to experience the cool Carolina mornings while sipping coffee. We enjoyed our visit to the nearby Presbyterian church, as well as driving the short distance into town to the beach and numerous shops and restaurants. By the time we left, my husband and I felt refreshed and made the decision we would definitely return here anytime we need to get away from the craziness of our life in Charleston. Rob and Debbie made our visit so pleasant, and we appreciate all the little touches they've made to the cottage to make it a very special place.
