My husband and I had a two week holiday at Alhaja with another couple. We wanted a quiet, peaceful house right on the beach - and Alhaja delivered! We spent hours sitting on the porch - watching the whale migration during the day and eating al fresco in the evening. We took long walks on the beach, regularly sipped coffee at Baja Beans, occasionally venturing into town, and meandered to Los Cerritos to watch the surfers and sip Pacificos on the beach.
The owners were extremely helpful and responsive. If you are two couples, note that one room is nicer than the other, which is clear from the posted photos. We find that this is most often the case and were pleased that at least both rooms had king beds facing the ocean. If I could make one improvement, I would add comfy outdoor seating - either 4 lounge or adirondack chairs - given the truly terrific porch, and how much time we spent sitting there. That said, it is lovely home, and we wound return in a heartbeat.
